Seems like quite a few owners are complaining difficulty in starting their car due to this new method.

I see HRV didn't implement this start up method?

All don't want to read the manual...

HRV, Accord & Jazz also... Those with smart keyless...

ic... seems like smart keyless entry ain't that reliable as compared to the old turn & wind key.
*
How is it not reliable? I've been using keyless since Suzuki Swift 5+ years ago until today with the City... No problems faced... sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Next round, bring your Honda City quick manual and bring out in front of the SC advisor... See what is needed and what is not from the quick manual...

QUOTE(raul88 @ May 1 2016, 06:59 PM)
guys
for service right

do u take the "engine oil treatment" crap
all this while i have been paying for it
feel cheated, my last service rm709

all my friends said that honda suck ur blood right there

any other among non-essential service crap that can be trim?

btw, whats with labour charge
alternate free and pay
but during your pay time, they will times 1.8-2.0 (as quantity)
wtf is that
end up you paying for those so called "free labour" charge as well
if it counted as number of person servicing the car, then just use one u fucker honda
i dont mind waiting, in fact i already wait for so long for service
adding 1-2 hours wont make a different

QUOTE(uus831 @ May 1 2016, 08:10 PM)
My recent 50k service was also quoted to be at RM 700+. All this while, I accepted SA's recommendation to add in engine oil treatment and some other stuff. This time, I told them to follow exactly as recommended on the website. The bill went down to RM200+ (as stated on Honda's website, but a little higher as I opted for fully synthetic).

So far, I don't feel any improvement by adding engine oil treatment. Maybe got some long term benefit, I don't know.

Cvtf just like atf I assume.. Certain mileage require changes.. For manual transmission oil is 40k.. Cvtf I not sure..
*
CVT oil is changed every 40k... It's all in the manual...

But if you read the below discussion with an LPL from Honda R&D in Tochigi about this and he too assured me that if CVT-F oil is used, the start clutch should not fail. He also strongly recommended a strict 20,000-25,000 oil change interval to fully ensure longevity of the CVT gearbox.

20k or 40k... That's your decision now... laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

QUOTE(shinichi88 @ May 4 2016, 11:14 PM)
Hey guys, thinking of changing my tires next weeks..
Im looking for comfort and silent tyre.

Currently in between Continental CC5 (rm200) & Michelin XM2 (rm240)
I'm not a racer or does not tackle corner hard.

Normal driver only..
Which is better for uncle style driving (110~140)?

forgot to mention is Vspec
*
XM2 is a good eco tyres... And you can get back the same size as original tyres 185/55/16... CC5 if not mistaken, only 195/55/16...

Because this tyre very noisy. I heard CC5 quite soft & comfort too.. How long can it tahan?
Been using the stock, already 2 years 1 month, 56k milage dy.
Yup, I know is a well-balance eco tyres.. Just the price is a bit high for entry level.
Not sure about it CC5 profile got same or not, but price cheaper. if change 4 tyres, already rm160 cheaper than XM2.
If 195/55r16, then the different is about 1.8%, still can consider.. (meter show 100kph, actual speed 101.8kph)
I just need somebody to convince me which tyres to take for long run. notworthy.gif
*
I'm also contemplating which tyres to take... Am considering Conti CC5 or MC5 sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Is there any side effect for the rim with this price range? Is an replica for sure, other than weight, will it easy get broken if hit pot hole?
*
Only this will happen when use imitation rims... Quality control don't have... Think about your safety...

This is what happened to a City member's imitation rims... Imagine if he was driving high speed when this happens...

That is very bad.

But you know? Some of the brand example like Avanti, Lenso etc. Do we consider that as imitation rims too? They claimed the rims with some title "Original Lenso Rim" and the price is about 1.2k something.

Can help to comment on this? We need this kind of information & knowledge to avoid being scam by the shop telling us that it's fine and it's the same with original rim etc. But the actual fact to our consumer is, it is very hard to differentiate whether the rim is good or not.
*
Those you mentioned is original rim brands... I'm talking about those imitation rims that copies vossen, oz, jap rims designs so they can sell cheap without quality... That's why always research first before buying...

Depends on the SC which insurance they are partner with... The Honda SC I bought is with Berjaya Sompo but I wanted to change to Tokio Marine when about to expire... So I went to another Honda SC and they are with Tokio Marine, then I told them I wanted to renew with Tokio Marine. Done with HIP...
