Got a quote from hap seng, 203k preown 2019 cclass silver. Gatai. Is it a good buy ? Around 20k mileage.

for a year old car, quite high mileage!

was being quoted 198k (car price) c200 avantgarde pre-owned by hap seng with similar mileage.
The next week when wanna pay booking fees it has been sold.

if you are walk-in customer, just go visit few dealers and compare the package you got openly with them to see who can offer the best and you will get surprises on it

As proposed by Cloud earlier, I went to several C&C and HS Showroom. A short summary of my experience from my visit.

- Hap Seng Jalan Ipoh
The worst experience I had was in this showroom. The SA was on the phone while talking to me, even during the test drive, and afterward as well. I would never recommend anyone to this branch with such poor and unpleasant service rendered. The SA offered 3 x Free Service only when everyone else had a standard 4 x Free Service.

- Hap Seng Kinrara
Very good experience with SA who has a good knowledge about the car and also the specification. However, there were only limited colours in the SA's list, and do not have the colour I wanted. Their offer were only 4 x Free Service.

- C&C Mutiara Damansara
Very good experience, the SA is well equipped and knowledgeable with the specification, and also a good driving experience where the SA took his time to explain each features thoroughly. The same offer were on the table - 4 x Free Service with limited colours available

- C&C Petaling Jaya
By far the best experience in terms of service, especially highly experience certified C200 SA. Had a great conversation, in fact I knew at that point, this would be the right SA to service this overall sales experience. - the SA gave me 4 x Free Service with an additional stuff. Has the variety of colour.

It was a no brainer to go with the later, with the 6% exemption added with an additional 6% corporate rate, and also the colour of my choice. PM me if you would like the contact of the SA.

That's right. In fact, I would even suggest to go for a sales consultant which has a good relationship with you. It would be handy in the long run during maintenance, and also if there were some difficulties that you face with the vehicle.

I believe they are holding on to the price, while people are rushing to enjoy the tax exemption.

Coating & DashCam

Anyone here would like to share their experience on contacts/suppliers/shops for coating or a dashcam ? I have decided not to go with the C&C Coating & Dashcam and I find they are very very expensive, to what's being offered out there. Thanks

i would suggest go only for dashcam since C&C is the only 'dare' to give warranty with their dashcam installed and it will save you a lot of hassle. Tint & coating you could just do it outside. C&C tint is crab except its FOC.

Thanks for the suggestion. The dashcam from them is at whopping RM2328, and was hoping there would be some alternatives that is in a cheaper range ?

No doubt outside you could get a dashcam at cheaper price & better spec and the seller will tell you there is no cutting/modification, just P&P which will not void your warranty. Actual, when come into any electronics claim majority will tell you to un-plug any foreign devices as all SC had been trained to look at any weird devices first before study the cause.

During my nego-purchase, other dealer not willing to include dashcam into the deal because they said will void the warranty, except C&C could do it and they had noted into their system without voiding my warranty officially! If need to spend additional few hundreds but give me peace in mind for the next few years, i think worth it.

I've installed the Dashcam from hap seng. It's a decent Dashcam. Too bad it's only a front facing camera.

The only reason I've installed it was for the piece of mind ( warranty)
