i think he referring to my previous post about scaling and aspect ratios (on Dell LCDs specifically). ya most 20" lcds 1680x1050 only, cant do 1080p.

just need another 30 pixel only~..

but the 1680 is missing 240 pixels!

yeap, i refer to the aspect ratio.

i sold my 24 and 20 DELL, now downgrade to Acer 19" W lol

20" (Best of 3) > 24" (Too bright to my liking, and color wash out) then back to 19" (Bought yesterday actually for the xbox 360)

now that I disposed of my psp, it is time to upgrade my monitor and get a console. My only concern is the damn monitor problem. Here are some of my concerns and i hope you guys can clear it up for me..(already did a search online)

Q: If I get a 24 incher, 1920 X 1200, can I do 1:1 pixel so that the monitor doesnt stretch out the vertical axis to 1200? Does that depends on the monitor?

Q: If I get 20 incher, the closest res that I can set on the xbox is 13xx X 768 ....If I set it at that resolution, does the monitor auto fill up the screen? is there still a problem with overstretch screen with the new dashboard? If I set the monitor to 1:1 (assume can be done on the monitor) I suppose the viewing size will be small and there will be black areas surrounding the image?

If I can do 1080p on a 24 incher...I might just get that instead...althought 2 X more expensive than a 20" What I am afraid is M$ decides to update the dashboard again and support 1680:945 after i bought the 24"

btw, is it possible to get the 1:1 option if you feed the monitor 1080p over a hdtv source? or is it just a problem with the xbox?

And i thought consoles were supposed to sit underneath tv sets... seems that everyone is starting to use computer monitors nowadays...

Doesn't it kinda feel strange sitting at a desk and playing video games (like in Djinn's place)? Not quite right somehow?
