Hi all Situ and expert

My 2014 Honda city e going to reach 50k soon
During 40k service, SC told me need to change tyre at 50k service
So I need recommendation for tyre

I believe stock tyre is Goodyear (duno what type) 175/65R15
Truthfully, I duno anything about tyre
Did some homework on my own
175 is the width
65 is the height
R15 is the radius
However. I duno what is better, eg more width or less width is better
Don't even get start on the tyre "bunga"

Now, can you guys help me with good replacement tyre?
Obviously cheaper is better, no brand preference
I work in taiping but Wife stay with family in Shah Alam
So I travel back week in week out
Weekdays taiping, weekend Shah Alam
A lot of travel distance...at high speed some more

Many thanks in advance smile.gif

Stick to original size if you want to save fuel. Go for wider tyre if you want better grip or more stability when speed on highway.

try shop Weng Heng near Bukit Kemuning there.. just search in waze also can found.. their price of tyre kinda cheap.. i already change there a few times..

the problem with ur original size is not much choice.. if can change to a bit wider like 185/60/15 u have better option.. even more the diameter different is minimal which around 0.3 inch smaller then original but ur width a bit wider around 0.39 inch..

price tyre list
i suggest u to look for this either one
- Goodyear Assurance Triplemax - RM189 - (GST+V+B+A inclusive) online store - mytayar.com
- Michelin XM2 - RM210 Weng Heng Bukit Kemuning

yup, as long its not far too smaller then original radius..
eg ur original is 175/65/15, by changing to 185/60/15 still bigger in radius compare original eventho by right the tyre series is lesser..

Stick to stock sizes if possible. You may try Toyo Nanoenergy 3, Bridgestone Ecopia EP150/200 or Hankook Kinergy Ex, Falken Sincera 832-Ecorun. The are fuel saving tyres.

High speed can go for Dunlop Formula D05 or SP Sport J5 launched this year. See here. Good year Assurance Triplemax (185/60R15) or the newer Falken Ziex 914 Ecorun.

Another brand from Continental and manufactured in Kedah plant - Viking tyres from Norway. Swipe the images to learn more. Looks impressive. The other Olav we never knew. See news link here.

I've replaced all four tyres on my City E to XM2 185/60R15 (same size as vios). Ride is much quieter, FC almost no difference...

Any recommendation for City V type? Current tyre size is 185/55R16. Thinking about changing to 195/50R16. More choice.. but not sure can fit in the original rim. Advise guys?

How wide is your Honda City std rim? If it's between 5.5-7jj then can fit. However 195/50 is starting to get a bit thin sidewall (only 9.7cm or thinner by 0.5cm from your current tire) so the ride comfort will start to get harsher. Better use 205/50/16 as it's about the same sidewall height with 185/55/16.
