Wonder how high density the high rise service apartment will be since there is around 8-9 block of it surrounding the lake |

QUOTE(Jasoncat @ Dec 8 2015, 12:15 PM) Bro since ypu ate in this field, may I ask a question. If the works done by the workers / contractors are not as per the specifications or requirements, so the consultant / project manager / QA team will not sign off, and so next stage of works won't be able to be carried out - is my understanding correct? Jason gorNormally in big job NCR is consider quite sensitive issue and will hv to rectify before work can proceed. However per job/project spec or requirement from consultant may varied too...there is no standard spec to be honest but of cuz we M&E service do have set of BS/IEC standard to follow laaa... |

QUOTE(Jasoncat @ Dec 8 2015, 10:14 PM) Thanks for your info bro. Then it's also possible that the pics of those "seemingly shobby works" (still subject to verification) were taken prior to inspection and may have to be reworked /rectified in order to pass the requirements and proceed to next stage of works For my eye, i dun see fault on those pic but pardon me i no c&s base pupil...the one pic making my eye sore is concealing the pipe and whack through the unit beside is a bad practice |

QUOTE(Jforte @ Dec 13 2015, 02:16 AM) Thanks for the great initiatives and updates. Standard procedure for a project site.... For us in project you need to haveHmm...I still hv reservations n curious why EM did not allow site visitation. 1. Cidb green card 2. Safety shoe 3. Safety helmet 4. Safety vest etc Any accident u gg at site, its your risk....so normally developer don't allow outsider(project consider everyone as outside apart from the project team itself) just walking into the projet site *frank speaking it be very annoying if outsider come in jalan jalan themself while we are working... For sharing my experience working for SPS project; For QA/QC matter :- 1. Clerk of work from architect and m&e consultant which station full time at site -once the job is done contractor will all for inspection - clerk of work to inspect all job done(section by section) whether is complying their spec and standard practice 2. Developer internal QA/QC - for experience working for SPS they do have their own internal QA/QC team roaming around and spot check too -once rejection will terus mark on wall a big cross with red paint as reject 3. Conquas (not sure adopt in this job) - external evaluation body involve from m&e installation till archi finishing such as brick laying...plastering normally will give grades and sent to contractor...if got "A" contractor bisa ada reward lol... |

QUOTE(ALaN- @ Dec 15 2015, 07:18 PM) Hi twskola / Ecoworld Shareholder this is my humble 2 cents for your comment Cruked bridge ? Future maintanace can't trace and drilling will get electrocuted Hmm yea, it's really crucked. On that sense, I must agree with you. It's it better to suggest to EW to specified where's the wiring location than saying that the drill will cause electrocuted? You've good knowledge but in a wrong manner. I thought there's an earth that will trip the electricity than causing you electrocuted? So what is the remedial action that you're asking for then? Relocating the conduit and wiring or making it straight up the wall? Even so, does that prevent from you being electrocuted if the reroute been done? For conceal work normally contractor will chase a groove around 25-32mm to conceal our conduit (in this case i believe is a upvc conduit 20mm/25mm) and then touch up with cement... So far seldom heard someone electrocuted because renovation work... Experince contractor will know there agak agak where the conceal dropper pipe is(normally perpendicular up or down from the point at wall)the tricky part will always to trace the conceal conduit at soffit/ceiling... For the dropper conduit part on wall , i dun have much worries...since when u chipping or hacking the brickwall(which u already know there is power point at wall) when u see a upvc pipe u will stop your chipping work and check...is kinda emm common sense.... |

FYI.....im a certified BIM level 2... and BIM major coordinate in major equipment and containment above ceiling , rather than conduits..... |

QUOTE(ALaN- @ Dec 16 2015, 12:25 PM) Hi shadowfevil It will never happen because we have Earth cable CONQUAS rules, wire mesh after the conduit concealed is what people do to prevent hairline crack. I heard Ecoworld mentioned that they did but I didn't see that myself so I can't comment. To trace a junction box location is not difficult, just refer to where your Column is Nothing much bout it for Quality wise lol I'm also a certified REVIT (BIM) user. That cert has been accumulating dust Tell me how you see a drawing in the site with your BIM? What's the problem with the standard AUTOCAD if you're printing the same paper for constructing the site? So to mention ALL REPUTABLE DEVELOPERS in your context, which developer and job reference you're referring with? How to trace a conduit in the wall is not by using BIM, don't mislead the other purchaser. So you think everyone has a revit to check whereabout the conduit is? Come on, you must be joking So to print out a copy of location with AUTOCAD if and only if you need to just to trace that conduit, don't it just easier to ask them to mark down or tell you in your house where they do it? We are developing country. We work best with Autocad. Mind me, I'm not saying REVIT is bad. But my point is, does it even related to whether the conduit is traceable or not whether to use BIM? Tell me which landed property using REVIT since you're a developer. Do you practice that? Revit has been using when we deal with certain level of complexity to avoid VO. So now you're saying ALL REPUTABLE DEVELOPER using that ... Are you referring to Malaysia, my friend? At an extreme level of details, we do create brick, plaster with specific thickness. So, no doubt it is workable for conceal works. But to an extend of practicality, why do we need to do it for a typical house. This question we should ask our friend |
