TM Streamyx throtthle download speed for torrent is it ?

Somehow i notice a huge difference in download speed.

The other day i tried downloading using unifi 10mbps its was fast got around 1.2mbps download.

Now using streamyx 4mbps only getting around 10kbps.

How is this possible?

for so long already. i suggest you buy seedbox, atleast you won't get banned on private trackers. last time i moved house, have to downgrade to streamyx. with 512mbps upload cannot keep up my quota end up got banned.

yeah. The new company now stopped selling that awesome package and only available for renew for existing subscribers.

You may look at Ramnode. the pricing/spec not as crazy as old Crissic but I think it the next best provider you can have.
Also check out MooseVZ. Good package and price but come with no SLA whatsoever and they do some intrusive DPI on their network kinda makes it shitty for torrenting. Good if you just want to bypass firewall to watch porn at work.

Sooner or later Unifi also the same for sure. Now they want more people to sign up for Unifi so they just leave it only. Not just Torrent they throttle the speed, I also notice some of the popular online games like "Drakensang" is being throttled too.

but again I feel reluctant to let it go since it is located in highly demanded Tokyo server. Japan server has been sold out on Linode since forever.

Located between US and the rest of Asia, Japan is kinda sweet spot of internet. You can get considerably good connection from all over the world, except for some crappy Europe provider(but who cares about Europe anyway). Extra bonus if you playing online game on Japan server.

Crissic will auto suspend you account if it detect known torrent client torrent (I also kena with rtorrent), but I accidentally discovered that

Getting cheap VPS is easy, but getting cheap VPS provider with AUP that tolerate torrent software on their server is not.
Some even try deceive you with confusing words during presale, like saying you can run torrent software - but in fact their network is filtering all p2p traffic.

For disk space, If you just want to get your stuff and recover your upload ratio then I believe 15-20GB is enough.
But most of people will got this weird mental state with seedbox on private tracker, they try to get like 80x ratio for no apparent reason (epenis maybe). So you may need like 80GB to fulfill your seeding fetish.

You can go for as low as 128mb as long you stick with rtorrent. setting up webui with lighttpd can be PTA though. But its really worth it.

yea i am worry about that part where they just give u empty promises. Can i know which provider should i go for and which location is good with torrent? i am new in this but is there a possibility that we can use this VPS to setup something like vpn for gaming for instance if i am taking US side server, this might help my mmo connection to US side much better?

I cant really give suggestion since I only seed on Linode VPS, which is non restrictive but considerably more expensive. (and not worth it to use it only as seedbox).
But Ramnode states that they allow' torrenting in US locations' (god knows what that precisely means) and no one ever complained about being cheated. read their AUP.

i think linode is ok for me to test out and i am not planning to use only as seedbox. Will further go deep into as i proceed but i just wanted some good recommendation from expert user like you haha. Linode, which location is good? tokyo is not available now (can i change to tokyo later?)

Lol I just use it because requirement for other my unrelated project (because I want openSUSE on KVM to be precise lol). You may also check out its closest competitor - DigitalOcean and Atlantic.net.
For location depends on usage. If you always access local site or game server on this region, then better take SG. If you don't have any specific use then US west coast is way to go currently.
Not sure if can change but I think they don't have problem fulfilling your request if you write a ticket.

Ah about the gaming connection to US, this will cover lots of topic like peering and stuff to make it really comprehensive and accurate.
So tldr, it depends. You can't expect VPN to improve your connection under normal situation.

no limit, i'm downloading a 4 gig file as we speak

in my case i use bitcomet.

open settings and there should be a proxy setting in connection.open that.
select proxy protocol to http 1.1
enter ip address
and then enter port at the below.
restart bitcomet and enjoy.

dont forget to check if proxy available or not.
always select proxy which is fastest.
how i determine is by during online checking,it checks very fast as online its status thus i took that one.
US , Germany , Romania and Argentina works best for me tho.

and ensure that the anonymity of the proxy to be greater or equal to ANM. otherwise no point having proxy

Cukur i use TIME, no eye see, no need setting, just download saja. Most of the TIME, very fast.

Look for DMZ setting. Key in your ip address.
