QUOTE(OPT @ Sep 30 2016, 08:40 PM) Maxis, Celcom...all also got victims (from personal experience ) At least from what I read, Digi is taking charge instead of some other telco that just wash hand... That's not entirely accurate. maxis waives the FaceTime activation SMS charge automatically. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4051614This post has been edited by attw: Sep 30 2016, 09:32 PM

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Oct 10 2016, 08:11 AM) Actually Digi is cheaper than Maxis. Maxis gives about RM1000 subsidy for phone, but you can only sign up minimum of Maxis One 128 plan. DiGi gives you RM1000 subsidy , but you can sign up for RM98 plan. But digi does not have unlimited SMS. Maxis has unlimited SMS. all got pros and cons. The thing about telco is choosing one with the right service level that suits your need, especially coverage where you stay, work and play. No point having a cheap plan but no service all the time. I had DiGi on 2 years contract for iPhone 4 and it drove me nuts as the coverage was very bad in my housing area. I heard that it has improved greatly but I've not tried recently. Point is don't just sign a plan with telco because of the overall cost of ownership of a phone. Sign a plan because the telco works for you.

QUOTE(aztechx @ Oct 10 2016, 01:15 PM) CLled digi helpline too..they as usual have no answer to when the new stocks will arrive Not just a DiGi problem. If you call any telco hotline to inquire on when new stocks will arrive, none of them will have an accurate answer.

QUOTE(screwedpeep @ Nov 5 2017, 10:16 PM) hmm.. so random which branch wants to exclude device advance payment. last week went to Sunway one they oni give for 128 plan. I thought they waive if you’ve been with them for over a year with good payment record, regardless of your plan?

QUOTE(realitec @ Nov 6 2017, 12:27 PM) Btw I don't see any issue of paying the upfront, it would be rebated throughout the contract, which mean you are paying lesser bill in the future. If that amount is big for you, use credit card and convert to 6 months installment. Ya, exactly. Unless of course, if you are claiming your company on phone bills and they don't pay you the advance payment

QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Nov 7 2017, 05:16 PM) The only telco that's doesn't require upfront and advanced is umobile, but u nust subscribe to auto debit for billing I see a lot of people complaining of their services on FB though. Seems their line is bad these days.

QUOTE(shinchan^^ @ Nov 18 2017, 07:57 AM) The shown discounted price not include gst Same with other telco ? I think other telcos just mentioned the price of the device after discount, and all exclusive of GST. DiGi mentions the discount off the RRP and so it’s misleading as the device RRP is inclusive of GST.

QUOTE(aiyoyoyo @ Nov 18 2017, 11:05 PM) digi facebook's representatives actually admit they are selling the 256gb at rm5899(excluded gst) That particular person handing the FB account at that time is poorly trained in handling inquiries. Try asking again today, you might get a different answer

QUOTE(realitec @ Dec 15 2017, 08:01 PM) By the way besides Maxis, I have left my number with Digi also for iphone 8 plus, doesnt receive any call too as of now. Poor customer service is also a big reason why I left DiGi.
