QUOTE(Hizami_83 @ Feb 6 2017, 12:48 PM) Here are my SKX007 & SKX009 both K versions. Bought from Creationwatches. They are in SG, free shipping to Malaysia using DHL with tracking. Awesome awesome looking watches you have there. Thanks for sharing. I think it's just me that I prefer the watch to be made in Japan. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « It's like my mindset kinda thing as Japan values quality compared to the K model as it is made in Malaysia. As a Malaysian, I should be supporting local made goods haha |

QUOTE(Hizami_83 @ Feb 6 2017, 04:29 PM) Oh I see. I remember the J is listed previously but not anymore now. What are you still waiting for? The K is not that bad. Better get it before even the K is no longer available. I really leaning towards the J. I prefer to the get J instead. I might go down to Singapore to source for it haha |

QUOTE(yvliew @ Feb 12 2017, 11:51 PM) Yodobashi yeah bro. I did some research and I am not sure why getting it locally here is cheaper compared to getting a J version which is made in Japan.I've calculated for u.. 44,000 YEN after tax refund and 5% discount ( if using visa to pay ) .. You'll end up paying around 40,740 which is RM1,517. That is a very high price for a SKX009. It's better to get it locally and have local warranty. Only buy JDM models if you are getting watch from Japan. No point getting one that is available here. Didn't see any J2 only J1. But there is a cheaper K2 which also around RM1507. hmm. |

QUOTE(andrewhtf @ Feb 13 2017, 12:34 AM) This has been repeated to death, both in here and in many other watch forums worldwide. Noted with thanks bro. I think the prices for JFM and GS are out of my budget at this moment. Thanks for your valuable informationSKX007/009 are machine assembled here in JB factory (and some say in china factory too). Some batches are taken out for final inspection by japanese technicians and given "made in japan" tag and named J model, but otherwise, they remained essentially the same. If you have done your research you should've come across this fact already. As yvliew mentioned, you wanted to buy authentic made in japan seiko, you either buy JDM, or if you're feeling the splurge, a GS. |

I have decided to get it locally from ken_smart from Lowyat as it is better than getting it from Japan which is more expensive.
He has stock for skx j models as well. So anyone who is interested can get it from him. 👍🏻 |

QUOTE(Naka7a @ Feb 13 2017, 10:31 AM) Really can't tell the difference between the skx J or K version. Also it's not so widely sold in Japan too. I think there are only two differences between the two models. One of them has a more of a lighter blue colour bezel and the other has more of a darker navy colour. And of course the 21 jewels as well as the made in the Japan font at the bottom of the watch face. |
