Added ExactMat + ExactRest to my lineup now

Btw,those of you who actually have the exactrest,what do you think of it?
I haven't been using it at all,it's just chucked aside.The mat is awesome and all,but the rest really limits your movement,imo at least

I got a defective unit for my first Copperhead.The buttons were all messed up.Both left click and right click acted as right click,and stuff like that.
Changed it and haven't really had any major problems thus far

Dpi = dots per inch = how many dots (pixels) ur pointer can move when u physically move your mouse one inch.This is why you feel the pointer moving faster when u set a higher dpi,since u are covering more dots per inch of movement.

Polling rate is how fast the CPU and mouse communicates.So at the highest setting (1000hz),ur mouse communicates 1000 times in a second with the computer so to speak,which means there's a lag of 1 milisecond (1/1000th second) between ur physical mouse movement and the movement of your pointer ,i.e. :

Physically move your mouse ---> 1milisecond later -----> Pointer moves

So at a lower polling rate,say 500hz,it's,takes,erm,2 miliseconds to respond?
At 125hz,it takes 8 miliseconds to respond,pretty much like "regular" optical mouses as razer puts it

So.....say you and a fren have the exact same ping in a LAN game.It's the final round and your scores are evenly tied.You're equiped with a kickass Chaos Green Razer Copperhead (with eXactMat ) set at 1000hz polling rate while he has some lame regular optical mouse with an 8ms response time.Being the only 2 survivors,each wielding a single-shot-frag type gun (snipers,railguns,etc),you eventually meet at a corner and although he shoots 6ms before you,you're still gonna frag him since you own an uber mouse XD

(In short,set it at whatever rate u feel comfortable with,I doubt it'll make too much of a difference lol)

Moderno is a reliable seller.I've personally been to his place to get the exactmat.He does shippin via either poslaju or Gdex

Was just recommending moderno since I have past experience with him

But I'm sure all the sellers mentioned are realiable,judging frm response and so on

Reading the previous posts ontop of the page,I would like to say : ppl,srsly,don't go to extremes.

You shouldn't take the review as a final verdict,which is one extreme,but you shouldn't also be calling it a piece of crap,the other extreme.

Honestly,have you even READ the thing entirely and comprehended it?He does go into pretty lengthy details explaining where his emphasis in benchmarking is as well as the means in which he accomplishes them.

For those of you who have used the very first generations of optical mice,you would notice that it buckles pretty easily,or "spin" as some of us knows it.This has always been a problem for low sensitivity gamers.And most pro gamers are low sensitivity gamers.

His concept of "perfect control" and "malfunction speed" is perfectly normal and has been there like forever,maybe in different terms.As I said,if you've used those crappy first gen optical mice,you'll relate real easily

Do notice,he's talking purely on the "performance" of the mice.Let's do an anology with cars.In a pure "performance" test,the easiest way would be to run the cars from 0-100km/h and get the timing and rank them accordingly.But does that mean you buy a car just because it accelerates like mad?Don't u consider other factors such as comfort,reliability,handling,appearance etc? Still you don't go bashing the test,since they stated it was a performance test.

And more importantly,look at your own circumstance.The test might not even be relevant to most of you.It's as simple as this.In one second, (not one motion,you might be doin multiple motions) do you ever move your mouse a distance of more than 80cm? (that's 2 and a half swipes across an eXactMat) If you NEVER do so,your Copperhead will NEVER spin or lose control.Simple as that.You can now look at the other factors and it is indeed an awesome mouse.

Personally,I've been going more and more in the direction of low sensitivity,so I would most likely be switching over to DeathAdder (plus I like the ergonomic thing)

As to your question of who uses their mice as such,the answer is pro gamers.Especially those of death match games like Quake mods. Pro gamers go above 1m/s and in extreme cases up to 2m/s or so. (there's actually a video of a guy doin practice runs with real low sensitivity somewhere in the article)

I was saying casual gamers (most of us here,I assume) don't use it to that extent.So ppl who don't use such extreme low sensitivity while gaming/ move that much per second can just disregard most of the article.Still,it's pretty interesting to know.

Of course,practicallity and other issue counts.He does take does into account here and there and mention the stuff.For example,although krait and diamondback have similar results,he ranked the diamondback above since it has more buttons,for one (just an example,he does mention the overall feel and what nots of the mouse if you read carefully)

All in all,I'm saying this article is not tailored towards the casual users.But in contrary to the popular belief here,the article does have it's practicallity as well as purpose.

I haven't tested either particularly extensively (in terms of low sensitivity) so can't really tell in that department.But so far so good,Death Adder is real smooth

One thing I have noted however,is that lift off distance is lower,as claimed.In case some don't understand,lift off distance is the distance you need to lift the mouse before it stops tracking (yes this is a good thing,the whole idea of lifting is to stop tracking anyways)

On my eXactMat,tracking stopped with a 2 cd stack.with 1 cd underneath it (roughly 1.2mm according to *cough* ESReality),it still tracks (supposedly other mouse surfaces,those SteelPads and what nots allow you to stop tracking even with a single cd underneath) The Copperhead on the other hand still tracked partially even with 3cds stacked underneath it.

Oh btw,I think the placement of the 2 side buttons for the Death Adder is slightly better.Both are relatively easier to reach as opposed to the Copperhead (IMO) And I don't particularly miss the other 2 buttons on the right side of the Copperhead,since it's pretty hard to reach in game.

Another thing to note about the Death Adder buttonsis that the top 2 buttons are easy to press,while the 2 side buttons will require slightly extra force to avoid it being mispressed,which is good.

Overall,I love the mouse so far.Will update,if anything,after tonight's LAN party

(If there's one thing I miss bout the Copperhead so far,it's the 2 light tubes on the side.It provides a nice grip and feel imo,plus it looks pretty at night XD No big deal really,the Death Adder is really nice to hold in its own way)

Unfortunately I didn't really test the mouse extensively at yesterday's LAN party,since Wii was stealing the limelight >_>

But so far I think it's pretty ok,won't do much harm if handed with care,but it does LOOK a lil thin imo (the mousefeet)

Razer exactmat is smaller than the Mantis.

If that's still too big,the original Icemat (as in 1st gen one) is even smaller and so is the SteelPad QcK mini

Hardpads are ftw!

Just get extra mousefeet (Only hyperglide provides DA ones,and no one's doin the bulk atm )

Hmm cool.Just read somewhere it felt somewhat like a laptop

But yea,most reviews have been noting that it feels really good to type on the Tarantula.

Yea the mat helps if u game alot,so get one nao

1.FPS = G15? Why Doesn't G15 have all those macro keys as well
2.Why is it difficult to play FPS on a Tarantula? I wanna know coz I play mostly FPS and I intend to get one (I already have a mouse and pad)

RM160 is a steal,I'm sure most of us won't mind getting our hands on one if we can get it at that kinda price
