QUOTE(kitman @ Aug 10 2007, 07:44 PM) hehe - i'm just taking up photography as a hobby so as long as the accuracy is almost there i'm fine with it. the thing is i always hear comment on the dell e228wfp color rendition but if most of the 22" wide screen offers similar kind of performance then i might just bite the bullet and go for it All the 22" LCD currently use the same type of panel, i.e. TN panel. For hard-core color professionals a TN panel would not be good enough, they would prefer PVA, MVA or S-IPS type of panel and plus high gamut too as an extra. If you're using it more for your photography hobby then I suppose a TN panel is good enough and also remember to do some color calibration on it. As you become more experienced or hard core then you can upgrade to a better panel for color rendition, like the 2407WFP-HC.

QUOTE(winlose2582 @ Nov 27 2007, 12:09 AM) wat is the comment about the Samsung 971P lcd? Is the S panel lcd rite? It's a good lcd but overpriced I feel. You're paying a premium for the design. I'd rather spend the same amount on a 22" wide screen lcd.

QUOTE(malayneum @ Dec 1 2007, 03:03 AM) how can i check if a movie file is in widescreen format? i think most movies you download never mentioned anything about it. and if the movie is not in widescreen format then wouldnt that make it looked 'stretched'?? sorry i lcd newbie.tq. Check the movie size in pixels and you can get the ratio. Most movies and even US TV shows are widescreen. If the movie is not widescreen, will it look stretched? Depends on your playback software. You can choose to stretch it or keep the same aspect ratio.
