hai...1280 is too small haha...anyway i play around with the refresh rate and when i set lower Hz...something like 60Hz, the text is more sharper...now i set at 75Hz...its more bit not sharp...

but 75Hz is the best for the eyes...no choice haiizzz

I just got a samsung 932b, but the problem is, the picture looks kinds of ugly in my windows. The icons are kinda blury as though the icons are stretched. The colour is really bright and the color doesn't seem very good.

I was wondering whether the problem is with my windows, GC, or lcd? Or maybe it is due to my surrounding? My house lighting is not very bright making viewing the lcd very straeneous.

Is there a program that I could use to set/optimise the setting? The default program that comes with the lcd doesn't seem to do much.

Maybe a 932b user could post their setting so I could try replicating it ans see if it helps?

Edit : I have set my resolution to the proposed resolution of 1280 x 1024 @ 60hz but still no difference.

i compared this monitor with dell ultrasharp 1907FP...
result is 932b kinda blury, no matter icon or text...

SkyDriver: Oh but it seems there is so many good reviews about 932b, it couldn't be that so many got it wrong and still give two thumbs up to it can it?

Faced the same prob with my earlier Dell 24 Ultrasharp. Called Dell and got replacement.
Satisfied with their service n support, bought another one during PC Fair offer for RM1999.

Bought the first one for RM3400.00 (include 3 yrs warranty, 24hrs) + sound bar + not so free, free gist - Linksys wireless AP.

2 months ago bought 2 Acer 22" entry level LCS for RM930.00 ea and compare side-by-side to the 24" Ultrasharp, hmmmmm not really noticable difference xcept the size and resolution.

For the money spent, IMHO the Acer gives more value.

Waaaah, good challenge here...!

Google S-IPS :
nothing that I undestand rclxub.gif

Google S-PVA :
nothing that I undestand rclxub.gif

Google TN :
nothing that I undestand rclxub.gif

Found some quotes saying about the brightness and banding? icon_question.gif . Aaaagh, another techie term.

Also found about "real output" using "professional monitor" and the text refers to video production output (I think related to the preview monitor like the Sony, Telefunken and Grundig used video editors)

AND really, I did not notice a major difference that should be reflected in the price difference (other than the size).

For knowledge sake, can u pls explain a bit about the difference ? (IMO this info is connoisseur's game).
Pls pls pls, I want to know.

Followed this thread to the end and LOL lagi  rclxub.gif (this subject is really not for me !)

Problems with graphic artists and printers). Attached is the test image (copied from the thread) for anyone interested to test their LCD.

I'm happy with 19-22". Anything bigger is not practical for a PC.
