Want to ask about,
Brightness 250 cd/m2 brighter or 300 cd/m2 brighter? The cd/m2 more high more bright?
Contrast 550:1 better or 700:1 better?

i jest bought BenQ FP91G+  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif
BenQ FP91G+ RM750 and ViewSonic VA903B RM729, BenQ like no so good then VS, but BenQ got D-Sub/DVI.
*
i think that you already bought the wrong one. if for me i will go to viewsonic as it have more contrast and brighter cd/ms2. the more contrast is better for me lah.

still ok, i feel the Brightness still very hight for me, i set it to 65 from 95.
and the Contrast 50 to 45.

but i compare with ViewSonic, ViewSonic is too bright but the color is more fresh.
*
this is because viewsonic got more contrast than your BenQ. this will show that the color of that more fresh to see.

Would like to seek some advice on choosing a 19" LCD wide screen monitor.

what would be the brand, spec, that is recommended?

maybe some experience sharing would be great.

thanks
*

Which wide screen do you think is better?

Samsung 940W
http://www.samsung.com/ca/products/monitor...=Specifications

or LG 194WT
http://us.lge.com/products/model/detail/co...L194WT-SF.jhtml

The price is around the same, anyone can tell me the difference? Why LG can have 2000:1 contrast ratio compared to 500:1 of the Samsung one ?
*
if compare this 2 units. i think LG is better only if the facts about it 2000:1 is true, as some people said that it is equal with samsung which is 500:1. if it is true indeed, take LG.

sorry im kinda newbie at lcd stuff.. i wanna know if i were to upgrade from crt to lcd is there any good quality of lcd would work as good as crt if not better for gaming? because most of the lcds i've tried suck for games.. i see some tiny dots everytime i guess its because of the refresh rate or something.thats what you called ghosting effects eh? . im planning to get either 17 or 19" lcd... price doesnt matter but if none of them would work as good as crt for games then i will just upgrade to 19" crt
wondering how good is 960bf for gaming.... if it's really good then i think i'll be going for it.. so any comments?
*
i think you should check out each LCD response time. the lesser the response time the better for gaming.
