 getting strength to do pullup, hi sado

hi guys. im currently being in calorie deficit diet and going to gym bout 3/4 times weekly. and its been a month and a half. but one of my main goals is to do pullups.
can anyone give me back routine so i can get the strength to make pullups? im not that heavy though. 180cm and 152lbs. like how many months before i can do a complete pullup?

does doing pullups regularly will build up my str? evetho i cant complete even 1? so confused. hope u guys can help me

1. Lats pulldown machine to begin with..

2. Use smith machine to do pullup. Then slowly work your way to full body pullup.

Your gym there no pull up machine with pad to support?

This not effective cause you can't control how much weight your leg should assist you and most of the time your legs will do all the lifting.

Pullup assistant machine is better.

true.. more than half the body weight will be on your leg. but for beginner like me and TS, i think still ok la. btw, your workout journal looks good. gonna try some out. thumbup.gif

It took me 2 weeks to do my first pull up.
I did it by doing... Pull ups.

Initially I didn't have the grip strength to hold on to the bar. So I started with a dead hang. Just trying to hold on to the bar as long as I could.

Next I did negatives. Jump up or something, find a way to get yourself up and then lower yourself down slowly.

Next, doing the actual movement itself.

Also, learn the proper technique. Sometimes it all comes down to technique. Like locking your shoulders in, and inflating your chest.

I got my girl to go through the same thing and she did a pull up and the thing that helped her was locking the shoulder.

wow thats good for ya. thanks. im gonna try it since now i can do chin up for a couple or two XD
