My good ol' Asus Laptop died on me, and now I'm looking for a reliable laptop that fits the following criteria:

Budget below RM 2000
1. Lightweight for travelling purposes
2. Good ventilation
3. Decent processor (at least an i5?)
4. Decent GPU for leisure gaming (I don't demand Ultra High settings, just at least able to play games from 1-2 years ago should be fine)

I have no preference of any brands. So long as its reliable, have a long lifetime and quality hardwares.

Thanks. rclxms.gif

Aim for at least an i5. I3 is not really reliable for long term usage. This model has a good build in quality. HP provides good after sales service too. biggrin.gif

You can extend the warranty of the other HP laptops as well, IINM it costs less than RM100.

DS,
Thanks for the advice.

I personally have never used any HP laptop before. This model has good ventilation? I can't seem to find any reviews for this model.

Thanks! notworthy.gif

Most HP laptops are good. If you encounter any problem, go ahead and call them. They will come to you in 3 business days. biggrin.gif

DS,

Thank you for your advice. I have found another laptop. Imma break my budget by a tiny bit, and get a 6th gen i5, 3 years warranty and NVidia 920M. Seems more worth it. biggrin.gif

Yeah, the new Skylake 6th gen has a new Micro architecture on true 14nm node. Hence, better performance. biggrin.gif
