No way something as significant as aliens species landing on earth and there's no record of it at all.

Every alien media has always been small scale story wise, basically just a group of scientist/soldiers/mercenaries go to a planet/abandoned ship and found the alien. They can easily expand on it however they want, it's so open to interpretation. With Weyland Corp been shifty since forever, that info can easily be concealed.

the 1st movie and Nostromo crew already out in space for many many years .... whatever happened/happening on Earth doesnt reach Nostromo.
