QUOTE(leftycall9 @ Nov 12 2020, 02:49 PM) The second season based on Annie Wilkes (Misery) went bad as I read from reviews. I did watch until episodes 4 but couldn't digest it. Just not as interesting as the first season the show felt very dragging with little to no exist of mystery and sinister part of Annie Wilkes character. Somehow I'm relieved they stopped it. Hopefully they can come out with better story in another Stephen king show in the future. S2 was originally planned to adapt The Shining, but then Doctor Sleep movie was already in the works so the higher up feels there doesn't need to be 2 media adapting the same material. The chance for S3 pretty much gone once Doctor Sleep bombed and they announced another tv series adapting The Shining for HBO Max called Outlook, which is also from JJ Abrams company. Personally, I like S2 more as the main mystery feels larger. And it also answers the lingering question left by S1 and provided a proper conclusion for the main story of S2.

Final season of iZombie is up on Netflix now making it complete. Humorous procedural series about a zombie girl eating brains to maintain her humanity while solving crime.
Best series to binge as we are entering a new MCO.

QUOTE(maraippo @ Feb 11 2021, 04:34 PM) Got watch Lost in Space? Not bad also imo. Just a bit too much teen drama in some scenes. Nah...Lost in Space is grating to watch. Everyone is such a dick to each other and dumb as fk. Anime Astra Lost in Space did it better with less time and episodes complete with a great ending.

QUOTE(My neighbour @ Feb 13 2021, 11:19 PM) Any love for schitts creek? David is like Soo casually natural and many of the scenes were like chaotic in a very entertaining way. Packed with fun went through the whole 6 season in my first 2 wks MCO 2.0 Yup..the show is amazing. Seeing you like Dan Levy, I highly recommend you to watch Happiest Season movie on Hulu. He's only in small part, but he's hilarious in it.

Kinda iffy at first with the first few minutes of Pacific Rim The Black, but the series gets better and better as it goes on. I think it managed to capture the style of the first movie better than Uprising. Highly recommended.

QUOTE(chinti @ Mar 15 2021, 08:30 AM) just finished season 3, so far still ok lol You can stop by season 5. Season 6 is essentially a reboot. This post has been edited by ray148: Mar 15 2021, 09:24 PM

QUOTE(ShadowR1 @ Mar 16 2021, 11:10 AM) What the name of the series is this ? The 100. Also...been slowly catching up with Fear The Walking Dead. And I must say, the show is overall is alot better than TWD. It got the highest high in the entire franchise. Sadly you always have to suffer through a season or 2 of an ok materials. S1-3 follow the more recent outbreak, S4-S6 did a timeskip closer to TWD present time and switched to Morgan from TWD as the main character. S1: meh with an ok finale S2: pretty good S3: amazing (best season in the franchise IMO) S4: starts out ok S5: just ok S6: really really good (2nd half starts april) This post has been edited by ray148: Mar 16 2021, 04:18 PM

I would've chalked at Invinsible as being generic, then that ending to eps 1 happen and holy shit. Really interested to see where the story is going now. Wish there were less teen drama though.

The thing about F&TW is that there were massive script overhaul a while back. Some people theorize that the original script had the Flag Smashers trying to spread some sort of disease --- basically trying to reduce the population like Thanos did. You can see little bit of this plot point in episode 2 where Flag Smashers stole a bunch of vaccine and the part of Mama Donya --- which supposed to have died due to the disease. But because the similarities with Covid, they changed it.
Also the show got delayed a while back to air after Wandavision because they want to re-shoot the whole finale incorporating the changes. Guess that's why it feels abit rushed.

Shadow & Bone is pretty decent. This might be the best YA series from Netflix by far. No character that pisses you off is a huge step up for the genre.

Jupiter's Legacy is just ok. The action, special effects and acting is pretty good, but good lord that costume and wig......urghhhh.
Starts off kinda mixed bag, but gets better towards the end. Hope it gets 2nd season.

QUOTE(hirano @ May 8 2021, 07:04 PM) Nah...it's slow, super serious and has no likeable character. All those exciting scenes you've seen in the ads and screenshots only happen in the finale and it's pretty underwhelming seeing it played out. Go watch Spartacus instead.

Love, Death & Robots Volume 2 is disappointing. I feel like only episode 3 & 4 are good. Volume 1 has a more consistent quality overall.
Vol 2 also no more nudity for some reason and highly sanitized. Reminds me of Altered Carbon season 2.

QUOTE(rexus @ May 15 2021, 08:53 PM) It's pretty uneven. Pretty good for the most part, but some of the bad/mediocre stuff pops up now and then. Also, the first episode isn't an indicative of the series as a whole until last 3 minutes which happen mid-credit.
