wellll..... how to differentiate 1-way or 2-way or 3-way speakers

lets say in 1 unit got only 1 speaker cone then it is 1-way
2 speaker cone means 2-way and 3 for 3-way

a components set is actually 2 1-way speakers; a tweeter and a mid

a coaxial is a 2-way as in 1 unit there are 2 speakers cones, sort of a 2-in-1
a 6x9, usually a 3-way there are 3 speaker cones, sort of a 3-in-1

btw dun confuse with a 3-way speaker with a 3 way setup wink.gif

QUOTE(shocker @ Dec 22 2006, 12:59 PM)
thanks for ur reply....anyway, Im just confused whether it will function like a subwoofer meaning no vocal sound is produced rather than normal midbass like those from component sets..... sweat.gif tongue.gif

by the way, some pics for u to see and understand why I was asking such question, pics are taken from lelong.... biggrin.gif as u can see its advertised as midbass woofers instead of midbass components or coaxial, so Im confused there leadi ler...hehehehe... laugh.gif

those a mids

a component set consists of a tweeter + mids + passive xover
so that one only consists of mid
you will have to get a seperate tweeter and xover
