no no. what i mean, the ideal for a subtank rba is around 0.5 since its a subohm tank anyway. with 26g coil if u go lower it will less wraps hence the cotton is covered like just a hitler mustache in the middle. Then ur cotton will burn fast.

btw, when i used to use kanthal on rba subtank, i do space coiling instead of contact. Dont ask me why, i just did 

Well you're right the first time. More wraps = higher resistance. Everybody starts from somewhere. Less wrap means more wattage could go through and vise versa.

Hey, its supposed to be fun! You should experiment with more or less wraps. The only thing is not to go over the limits of your mod or battery.
I switch from fat to thin wires from time to time. High or low ohms. Your vape will just fell different.  Like something new. Since I use a regulated mod I'd normally do more wraps. More wraps means more wire in contact with cotton to vaporize liquid.

Lol, what mod & tank are you using? I can't stop laughing cos when the manufacturers made subohm tanks they didn't envision people firing it at 8W!
When you go low ohms it gets hot. Subohm tanks using 0.2 to 0.4ohm coils  are for hot vapes & big clouds!

Hahaha...... D2! You're firing in 'Power' mode right? D2 doesn't have step down in 'Power Mode'. It may indicate 8W but you're firing higher. Way higher. 0.4ohm X 4.2V = 44W!

I'd guess you could just put some cotton in the airflow just like Vail did a few pages (or was it few threads) ago. Well it's not a waste if you enjoyed it but I'm guessing the flavour would be way muted that what it actually is.

Hey, if you want to fire it at low power while using Nichrome or Kanthal, just change it to 'Joules' mode. The D2 will be able to step down then and fire at low power.

Just treat joule as watts. There won't be TC if you're using Nichrome or Kanthal so you set it at 450F or anything.

Lolololol! You're using the IPV D2 right? Just change to Joule Mode, select Ti.
I'm firing Kanthal, Nichrome and 316L in that mode. Works in my V2 & V3 IPV D2. Works in all D2s.
