QUOTE(ThisIsAter @ Oct 9 2015, 06:41 PM)
summary
RECAP: Press conference main points

- Klopp says he's 'the normal one'
- He hopes for a Premier League title within four years
- LFC job is the 'biggest honour' he can imagine
- Klopp says it's important to change the expectations of the players
- "Stop thinking of money, and start playing football"
- No problem with the transfer committee - he's 'not an idiot'
- No decision made on Carragher and Gerrard - Ian Ayre
- Klopp believes in the potential of the team

*
- seems he has no air behind him. He wants to do a good job.
- *i will conclude to this point later
- likewise mr Juergen klopp
- yes please
- double yes
- transfer committee, the manager always has the last say in players. That what I been saying all this while
- yes, I'm for carra, than of Gerrard. After all our managers that have done well (won trophies) since the inception of premier league, always had a ex Liverpool in the mix, Gerrard houllier had Phil Thompson, Rafa Benitez had Sammy Lee.

I hope Juergen klopp could follow the tradition.

I get same feeling that Juergen klopp already knows the players, he probably has been observing from his swimming pool break of Liverpool players and making analytical observation on the players and is highly confident of the lot.

It's important to not giving out too much info of what he is planning to do with the team and the football we'll play. Glad that he's able to keep those to himself.

Seeing that he spent his past 48 years living & working in Germany, I guess it's going to take times for him and his "brothers" to learn & adapt to the English league. We'll see.

So far, Jurgen Klopp has been honest, gives no promises and pulling the people around to focus on the present.

Still feels surreal. I remember people were discussing who to take over from Rafa years ago and Klopp was one of the few names that popped up but we ended up with fking Hogdson. He's finally here and I am so ecstatic. There's no doubt about his pedigree here, everyone related to LFC should be happy and assured with this appointment. Charismatic, passionate, energetic and a tad of madness. LFC most important signing since Suarez imo.

One thing though. A big positive trait of Klopp is his motivational skills but language barrier is a thing. Even though he can speak English pretty well it is still not flowing out of his mouth fluently enough I think, to express what he wants to say as well as he could do it in German.

He could certainly brush up on his English especially certain vocabularies to be used in his pep talks.

He is a big guy, I think there is a presence that even in his animate gestures, it's not impossible to know how he feel if a player screws up.

He admits he needs his trusted sidekick to help identify the tactics. He has no air that he is some master tactical manager.

Apart from the English speaking players , I think the most important is to play for the club, oh my, he exudes in abundance in charisma department

U sure he's not Rodgers in disguise? I like the claim btw that we'll win the title in 4 years. Sort of another way of saying judge me in 3 years

To clarify, when he said "title" it could be used to refer to any silverware by German speakers. Therefore it might not be the PL title that he was referring to.

I guess we'll never know unless he clarifies. Though if he emphasized the title instead of a...he's probably talking bout EPL.

Feel kinda sad for Rodgers though...came closest to winning ever, even closer than Rafa...and all folks remember about him is "with the right tools" and "character/potential/overpraising himself/what defensive coach?" Not saying I like him...but just a little credit to him. Kenny also had Suarez but didn't get it to work. BR might have stumbled across that formation by accident...but he did make it work for a while.

ANyway...we go again! You never know, Klopp might make it happen this year itself

who cares what judas thinks.
Gerrard meanwhile is happy and stress free over there, but he knows the door to LFC is always open to him in one form or another, be it ambassador or part of backroom in a yr or so as some reports say.

It is not the fault of the fans here honestly,..

QUOTE
Fenway Sports Group’s Tom Werner has praised new Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, saying “we have appointed a world-class manager.”

Depends on how people see it. Klopp has a good cv. Take nothing away. Some may say but he is not English league proven. doh.gif ok I understand the fact players can fail to adapt to high tempo in the English league and a league with no winter break.

Also klopp has taken b.dortmund to CL final, in Europe. He is pedigree, as Tom wenger said.

Some the quote above, some will interpret a slight pijakan maut? whistling.gif ok that below the belt. I think there will be teary eyes amongst fellow Kopites because I said that. blink.gif

And should this Liverpool squad, find some success under klopp (this season), I'll kick that someone ass if he/she says it's because of the predecessors players.

Same could be said about rafa when he first arrrived. His english wasnt all that fluent at first but that didnt stop us getting to Istanbul. Klopp's english is a lot better in comparison imo.
