Jurgen Klopp today agreed a three-year deal to become Liverpool manager.

The 48-year-old German replaces Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked on Sunday after three and a half years in charge with the club 10th in the Premier League.

Klopp has been out of work since May, when he ended a seven-year spell at Borussia Dortmund to take a 'sabbatical'.

He is expected to bring in Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz - his former assistants at the Bundesliga club - as part of his coaching staff at Anfield.

I can already imagine the benitez faction of the liverpool fanbase sharpening their knives in the background patiently waiting to stick it in klopp as soon as he struggles.
*
nope, i like him. i think klopp fit liverpool like ass on throne. Like how saturday nights is suppose to be, Rocking!

We all understand, and have to move on since Rafa left, but we (I) haven't been this excited since benitez came to Lfc, well, Dalglish 2nd coming came close second.

Perhaps Roy Houghson & Brendans loyalist are unable to understand, we are in for logical football. not clueless, scratch head tactics that yield good stats but low outcome. I guess you couldn't/may not see our point, but i understand. everyone has their favourites.

sorry, that's how i feel. glad it's in the clear tongue.gif

time to Klopp in wink.gif

Sorry not to rain on your guy's parade but... didn't klopp struggled very badly when Borussia Dortmund loses their key player? In this context, he's not very far compared to BR when liverpool loses suarez.

... people fixation is on klopps last season at Borussia Dortmund but haters forget his time at mainz. Its not our typical excuse to defend but time and again, people (BR loyalist) tend to look at things microscopically but not the whole big picture.

The same thing about our constant rant on Rodgers, fix the leaking goals, fix the leaking back line. even in the mercurial 2nd season; it wasn't only about suarez.

But as they always only see it one dimensionally. I don't know why ??

Nobody, no sane LFc fan is saying Klopp will turnaround LFc fortunes immediately, there is great work to be done, No Klopps (own) players in thats for sure, until IF fsg sanctions it. We acknowledge it. Yet some Rodgers camp think otherwise,

Yes we are in great anticipation of his arrival and confirmation. He represents HOPE. Rodgers has been putting off fixing the very sore problem plagueing liverpool's back line. He's too arrogant to admit it, even after 3 1/4 years at the help, he thinks nothing of it.

Carragher commented about it often. He greatly feels Brendan should have been sacked last year. He doesnt mince his words. If only Rodgers looked at the mirror and corrected and recognise the problem, then perhaps we wont have klopp in but celebrating Rodgers rule with a premiership title.

It's not about losing suarez, his problem was his tactics is too naive, completely worthy only for FIFA fantasy manager. #reallypeople it wasn't about losing suarez.

cool2.gif

it about not managing creative players, holding them and miss opportunities, lots of it.

The only thing that may seem to rain on us is that, Klopp is only the 2nd German manager to be english football. felix magath was the first and didn't quite fit in but there is finding out if we don't risk it. still it's miles better to have such character personality at LFc

He got Mainz relegated from Bundesliga as well.

Come on. This guy has 10 years of managerial career, pretty much 8 yrs out of the 10 were considered a success but.. you have to go and judge him based on that 2 underachieving years.

The fact is, every manager will struggle whenever they lose their key players. Klopp lost a lot more players than Wodgers did in his 7 yrs in Dortmund..not only Lewandowski.. In Wodgers' case, he was struggling too even when he had Suarez. Our defence were leaking like a sieve back then but this was totally overshadowed by Suarez's brilliance alone.

Dont even compare that car salesman with Klopp.

And he was the one who brought them up there as well.

I think it's a cycle of his managerial career. His startup has always been successful though, maybe losing his motivation after few seasons biggrin.gif
