300m minus sales, & all over 3 years. Jose comes, he'll want 300m in cash now to spend in the next 2 windows. FSG don't have the appetite for that.
*
And if he does win something, the revenue we obtain from the wins will cut back on the 300m as well?

It's a check and balance thing.

BR spend and don't get rewarded.

Jose spend and win. Either you cough up the capital upfront now and reap the benefits later or you just be like BR.

Talk character and philosophy until the day he got fired lol.

Even with strong financial backing of Chelsea, JM never splashed 300 mil in one season.
The most was around 100 mil plus when he started to build the team.

But he won the league title, so money well spent and can be recouped easily.
As winning title get you more revenue, as well as receive good money from CL.
Not to mention those top players bought were valuable if wish to be transferred out later on.

As compared nearly 300 mil spent,
But with no trophy, no CL football, a minnow in Europe stage.
Struggle to score goals in league.
Left with little valuable players.

far be it for me to be a defender of rodgers, but the comparison shouldn't be what Jose spent when he first went to chelsea 10 years ago. 100 mill then is a lot more than 100 mill now.

the more accurate comparison would be to the more recent projects at man city & psg. see how much their owners had to spend to get them competitive.

most importantly, gross spend is different from net spend, nevermind the scale of player wages liverpool are unwilling to pay these days.

The truth is, great managers does not necessary need to be a master of tactics to excel in the club. Look at Fergie and Mourinho, those who know these two old geezers will agree that there a bunch of assistant coaches behind them that helps him to decide on the formation prior to the game.

But what they are lacking in tactical department, they compensate that with their exceptional motivational skills. The ability to harness the power of the inner beast of their players and bring the best out of them that transcends all expectations. This is what makes them so successful.

On the contrary, managers like Wenger and Rafa are the truly master of tacticians and play the game by the numbers.....but Rafa is not a risk taker and too cold at times and Wenger is a perfectionist. They never walk the middle path.

Ibrahimovic once said of Mourinho" He told me that the only weapon that is greater than the power of atomic is bomb....is the human mind" and upon hearing this, Ibrahimovic said he is prepared to die for him on the pitch.

I see Klopp as a great motivator, his passion will fuel the players like Mourinho, and tactically he may not be as good as Rafa n Wenger, he is an proponent of fast counter attacking direct football..blitzkrieg style and not tiki taka death by football BS stories.

Those who said Klopp is a gamble....ffs, he cant be worse than Wodgers. Continental style football will always own British engineered football anytime of the day.Worse comes to worst, Klopp will just be another Martinez and Koeman but Liverpool will not slide into the likes of Watford and Reading. Thats the vast difference of power between continental and British football.

"Per Aspera Ad Astra" that you fanboys.

Most fans don't expect owner to splash 200 mil to become champion, but undeniable, there was at least around £200 mil wasted.

Top 4 or near to top 4 position and play some good football should be least the target with the amount money being spent.

Beware of the BR fanbois say that BR doesnt spent so much, half of it is from the sale of Suarez and Sterling. And it is BR himself that polish and made both Suarez and Sterling so top class that fetch such a high price. Without the great character instilled by BR to both of them, they wont be so expensive. laugh.gif

I want Klopp come in becoz I have feel that he'll give us the same effect as Rafa that'll get our fans roaring like before.....the 12th man symptom at anfield.......

It's been long time since we have 1 of those atmosphere at our fortress anfield.....

Of course, this season I'll not hope too much for Klopp to quickly fixed all the mess......at least he show some progress then I'm more than happy......

Like that even worst on CV.

If with same group of players, B cannot win anything,  but K manages to win trophy,
clearly, B managerial and coach skill is poorer than K.
*
Exactly but there are those will have said in the past manager like K flukely won trophy with B's squad.

We do have some players who can play but they aren't put into a right ingredient to play. Breandan Rodgers baffling system looks super promising on paper but really zero when it's out there. The kind of comic book fantasy Roy of Rovers. dominating opponents, teaching them all conquering passing game of death football. (Condescending shit football to some)

If Rafas tactics has been described as boring chess game. To the Rafa haters, patiently looking for opening to strike is boring, they like entertaining 90min of high intensity passing sideways game (wtf, go figure)

Klopp's BDortmund is suppose to be high intensity pressing game with effective counter attacks (but maybe in heavy metal style!!!). This actually is a reverse from Brendan's idealistic high tempo possession game.

The amount of buzz here in this LFC thread going into international break is unlike before smile.gif

Seldom watched dortmund games, do you guys know what's Klopp preferred play style? I would love to see the combination of AM and 2 strikers with solid 4 Def.

One Word: Gegenpressing

High intensity pressing to won ball back after losing possession, when won back possession, immediately launch quick counter attack. Think of it as even stronger version of 2013-14 style of football play by BR.

Klopp say he preferred heavy metal style football compare to wenger's orchestra style football

his preferred formation is 4-2-3-1
