If Klopp or Ancelotti do take over, will they be given the power to sign players? Or will it be the transfer committee to sign players? If I'm not mistaken. Liverpool do not have a director of football, but they have a transfer committee consisting spearheaded by Ayre.

My friend who is a fan of Liverpool even went as far as saying Ayre is the 1 supposed to be sacked.

FSG's approach in the last three years has done none of those things. All due respect to Rodgers, Colin Pascoe and Mike Marsh. Lazar Marković, Luis Alberto and Fabio Borini. These are not the kind of aggressive installations for success.

the TC is a BR thing, ayre has been at the club for a long time now... only since BR arrived that suddenly got TC with youth policy? cos BR thought he was a good youth coach so decided to stick with what he knew best... so good riddance BR.

afterall nothing gets more profit than winning both PL and CL, and u cant do that if always selling players.

Bottom line is that smug Ian Ayre needs to go OR confine him to non footballing matters only. He's good in getting in the sponsors, marketing deals but he's no footballing person. Think of him like your typical corporate dude who plays politics in office.

They did say it is a "principle in general" not "strictly". Only a handful of relatively "old" players were brought in at cheap prices bar Adam "Godson 2.0" Lallana.

Still shows FSG are exceptionally stingy when it comes to established big name signings. Lallana was the sole exception possibly at the insistence of BR and recommendation of TC.

Our TC is spearheaded by the manager himself. No transfer goes through without his approval. Ayre is part of the committee but only in charge of transfer negotiations which he is not really good at anyway.

Klopp for Pep has always been circulating since his resignation. Unless Pep himself wants to leave though I don't see Bayern going for Klopp. The variable here is Pep.
