QUOTE(river.sand @ Nov 27 2015, 07:23 AM) Let's say cost was 100k, profit was 10%. That means, profit was 10k. Profit drop 43% means 10% x 43% = 4.3%. Now the profit has become 5.7%, or 5.7k. thanks river.sand for the clarification. 100k + 10% (profits) = RM110k portfolio value. profit drops 43% (RM4300) = portfolio value drops 3.9% (RM110K/RM4300) which means profit drops = portfolio value drops BUT profit value drop =/= portfolio value drop

What a roller coaster year. Without some asset allocation and re-balancing, I would have been wiped out by the China market rout in August. My current ROI is down to about 4.91% from about 7% previously. The Fed may increase interest rate in December 2015, the RM may continue to strengthen and the China economy outlook for 4Q may still look weak. I can't think of a better time to top up my existing funds. I am also planning to re-start my supplementary portfolio in December 2015. I have short listed a few candidates... May we all continue to prosper in the year 2016.
