QUOTE(remix2040 @ Dec 5 2015, 10:38 PM) Nope. I don't sit on my phone. Front or back. So my phones are bendfree. And it doesn't bend by itself either. QUOTE(zhou86 @ Dec 5 2015, 11:30 PM) Many people put their phone on their back pocket, which is actually very non-recommended. As long as you don't place your phone under a long-term stressing force, you shouldn't have a problem. QUOTE(Garena @ Dec 6 2015, 02:41 AM) Bend i never face before but i face before warp on both Nexus 5 and Nexus 6. When it's new, put them on a flat surface table face down they lie properly flat. After a few months use, the phone will warp even i use it with case and then i put it on a flat surface table again, i notice they wobble like a ship from side to side. Another of my discovery is Nexus 5's sides will even gets hairline cracks by itself near the sim tray, volume rocker, and audio jack. Searched on Google and found out that i'm not the only one. Mind you i didn't wear tight jeans or put the phone in my back pocket, i handle my phone very carefully and even better than a girl. LG tsk tsk tsk...every manufacturers have their shortcomings. Thanks for your replies. As a happy previous Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 5, Nexus 6 owner and potential buyer for this Nexus 6P when it officially releases over here, the last thing you want to do after 1 week of ownership is go through the hassle of sending it back to the Huawei service centre to get it "fixed" or worst yet, get a reconditioned unit. Just sharing some XDA threads on potential build quality issues: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/g...thread-t3237343 http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/g...t-days-t3241999 |

QUOTE(Kagekiyo @ Dec 6 2015, 12:31 PM) Thanks for your replies. The pre-massproduction units or review units all had their imperfections. Such as the uneven surface on the bottom of the phone, where the FCC markings are. On Spore hardwarezone no bending problems reported. Several users reported varying display problems from yellowish to pinkish. I saw the pinkish display n it was indeed horrible. Those affected users are waiting for HW Spore response as initial indications are no replacement of phone n probably replacing display only. Nothing can be done yet as no parts available
My unit has been perfect with no bad build quality or display issues. This post has been edited by benny888: Dec 6 2015, 12:50 PM |

If you think the nexus 6P's volume button is too low, look at Xperia Z3+ and the Z5. That's too low haha. One handing this phone is awesome. AMOLED screen isn't for everyone as some people love IPS (like me).. But its something that is neglible maybe as it came with the territory.. This display is in the right spot. Not as bad as the Moto X but not as over the top as the Sammy's Note 5. That's too much man. |

What's even more discouraging is that users who purchase from third party resellers such as Lazada, etc (might possibly) face a harder time getting their non-local warranty covered unit "fixed" or re-conditioned versus purchasing it through Huawei directly. Owing to this, it's perhaps a safer idea to get a local warranty set versus an AP set. I suppose it really is depending on your personal luck that you receive a defect-free unit. It's a hit or miss. |

If you recall or visit any of the Samsung Galaxy S6 or Note 5 threads, you'd see people whining about the same thing. Pink hue on screens. It's more of a AMOLED panel issue than it is a phone issue. Hopefully most of us gets defect-free phones. As for mine. My screen is perfect, my back panel is even. BUT my speakers are unbalanced. The top speaker is louder than my bottom speaker lolWhat's even more discouraging is that users who purchase from third party resellers such as Lazada, etc (might possibly) face a harder time getting their non-local warranty covered unit "fixed" or re-conditioned versus purchasing it through Huawei directly. I posted this on a query of which phone to purchase : LG V10, Nexus 6P or Xperia Z5
I am only getting my Xperia Z5 Premium next week - so no comments yet on this phone Between the Nexus 6P and LG V10 - my choice is LG V10 Different users has different needs . So to decide which phone is "better" will solely depend on which phone features are important I had never believe in any phone being the best Simple summary between Nexus 6P and LG V10 - hope this will help forumer fruitie in her decision Nexus 6P : Good for its fast firmware updates, very smooth phone, lots of roms flashability. Has best camera of all Nexus I had ever used ( except Nexus 5 which I had no experience at all). The camera can stand proudly amongst the Note 5, LG G4, V10 though personally I rate its camera still poorer vs them. Some people like its display ( Amoled) though it doesn't appeal to me as I had never like Amoled all this while. Phone performance and multi tasking is good though not excellent. USB OTG on this phone is slight tricky - it could easily detect both thumb drivs ( 64GB) and Sandisk dual thumb drives ( 64GB) BUT ES File explorer app, solid explorer app can only read the thumb drives BUT not the SD dual thumb drives. I needed to install a paid app USB OTG File explorer app to do this to be able to manage files between the SD dual thumb drives and the phone LG V10 : Inits default UI, its smoothness loses to the Nexus 6P. But with Nova UI installed it can now easily match N6P. Performance can easily match N6P even though it is a lower 808 chipset. USB OTG works flawlessly out of the box. The camera is obviously much superior vs N6P. Performance is quite similar to N6P. However I had faced a strange issue with MX Player Pro on the N6P - it always takes 5-6 sec to display the full list of my 20 GB video collection while it is close to instant on my LG V10 ( same set of files on ext SDCard) The other advantages of the lG V10 are its removable battery cum ext sdcard support. Some users claim the secondary display as unique but I don't like it all and just a gimmick to me Build quality I prefer the LG V10 as it is more masculine vs the more feminine N6P !! Design wise the N6P wins ! Battery wise ( based solely on 80% internet based usage with no gaming) : the N6P I could easily get 5-6 hours SOT vs 4-5 hours SOT on the LG V10. I had never bother to use any apps to tweak to assist battery usage. DOZE works fantastically well on the N6P with battery hardly drain even with phone standby on over several hours !! |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Dec 6 2015, 02:12 PM) Sometimes it really depend on luck. My Nexus 6 was the WORST experience in quality I had bought for the last 1 year+N5 famous power button fail, I didnt encountered yet. N4 it did failed just before warranty run out. N6 I dont get any reported potential issue ( so far, so touch wood ) After 2 weeks the back cover came loose and there was an obvious gap. I suspect it was due to the quick charging weakening the double sealed tape. The phone does heat up significantly while under charge. I put in a very short complaint ( as given only a very small box to input) on Amazon France website . Was thoroughly happy that they responded within an hour and said they will send me a new replacement unit. I didn't even need to post any photos or elaborate further. The phone was UNBELIEVABLY air out within 4 hours I lodge the complaint and it reached KLIA on day 2 !! I had to courier back the defective phone within 30 days After a month pass on the new phone, the camera focus failed. This time Amazon said since past 30 days NO replacement will be made but they will refund me FULLY all my purchased costs including courier return charges. I got the refund in 2 weeks |

QUOTE(Nuzzary @ Dec 6 2015, 04:41 PM) All my apps are optimized. No idea what's wrong hahah. Most of my apps are Google Cloud Messaging synced. So I don't have to worry about no notifications getting through when Doze is on. But the problem is I have too many notifications coming through. |

I can't remember the name of the app. I'm only using Greenify just for the Aggressive Doze mode now. It's designed to force Doze to kick in as soon as you turn off your screen. If your phone is moving, Doze won't be ignored. It had always work magnificently well without any battery tweaks We cannot access n tweaked doze yet It had been.very good on all the custom roms I had tested to date ( chroma, noob, aosip n photon) I had never even bother to check what background app are on |
