Most singapore stock is on downtrend.  Some even down for 5 freaking years (SINGTEL, STARHUB, SINGPOST).  STI is up mainly because of its 3 banks.  Better avoid singapore stock and put your money in Sg REIT, HK or US.  Its a waste of time.

Singtel, Starhub are telcos. All telcos are suffering once 4G became common. It became pure price war. Look at Malaysian telcos, underperform as well.

Sometime this year I plan to start buying into ABF SG Bond ETF. I had pretty good results investing in the Malaysian one. Hopefully MYR strengthen further.

I agree with hansel. It takes an optimistic investor now to buy the dips. Im not confident with sgx counters yet.

Even for DBS, i agree with ramjade that price does not look very attractive, look at the daily share buy back from dbs themselves. Past 1 to 2 weeks, dbs has been the one supporting their stocks. If not, it be a free fall to the abyss.

Be careful of dip traps.

If you have access to US stock market, better buy US stock and forget about SG.

I just move some of my RM to SGD account and plan to invest in SGX bluechip for longer term and collect dividend too. I have DBS in my portfolio, paper loss now.

Already owned OCBC, Ascendas REIT, CMT and SATS.

OCBC entered at 8.94 accidentally... Forgot to cancel my trade...
SATS entered at 3.07, now giving me a lot of headache. It's a baby blue in the past and has solid fundamentals.

Ascendas is the only one in green, entered at 2.88.
