OK,...I'll write-up whatever I can about the AGM later on,... There are other AGMs too in the coming week - First REIT and KepCorp on Tuesday, something on Wednesday,.. then the gem Parkway Life REIT on Friday, to be held at the big auditorium in Gleneagles Hospital, Sgp...

As for other USD-denom counters in Sgp, I have studied The Mandarin Oriental International, but the DPU has dropped in the ann't for FY2015 full-year DPU. The AGM will be held in The Bermuda Islands sometime in June,...

The Jardine Group also pays out divvies, but the yield is poor. Look at JMH, JSH, Jardine C&C and Dairy Farm. The Mandarin Oriental group is also part of the Jardine family.

Wah....will Lee Kah Shing be there in the AGM ?

Hi Showtime,... how are you ??

I'm not sure whether LKS will appear, I know he has quite a huge stake in this also,... On my part, I am focussing hard on clarifying my doubts by asking questions, be it formally at the meeting in front of the BOD and all investors, or on one-to-one tea sessions with the BOD before and after the AGM.

I heard LKS was there last year,...

Investors have rights !!! LKS or not,... they have to reply,...encouraging and/or not encouraging replies will be heard by all investors, Retails and Institutional,....of course, the more shares we command, the stronger our influence,...

HPH Trust will be exciting,... but the gem of the AGM Season will be in KepCorp's on Tuesday. Many investors will be there - locals, internationals, retails, institutionals, corporate representatives, HNWIs,... all of them,...all will sit together, and come together for a common objective - to succeed in investing our funds.

Questions will be asked by all,...and will be heard by all, all the major presses from around the world will be there.

Prince,... the portfolio size of the blogger or forummer does not matter. You buy what you can afford to buy. Well, I'm not sure of any blogs anymore. I don't follow any anymore,...

Perhaps you just follow this forum, and pick-up from here and there. This is another way,...

Hansel,

then we are hoping you may share with us on the cheese of the AGM tomorrow.

besides this, would there be any other instrument paying out divvy denominated USD or HKD that you might see any potential to replace this counter?

HPH Trust this morning :-

1) Many unhappy old folks there. These people bought during IPO back in 2011, and held-on till today. Bought at $1.05, and price today is 50 Cts.

2) Old folks lashed out at the management fiercely, but some things to take away would be HPH is building another two berths this year,... however, after some questioning by a unitholder, it seems that the margin is only about 4% for the new berths. Too low.

3) HPH Trust does not allow for listing in the HKSE because the HKSE does not have provisions for listing a business trust.

4) Anybody entering now would enjoy a yield of close to 10%, but my question is : what if the price drops lower down the road ?

5) We suspect the DPU is paid out of cashflow, not out of profit, hence, there is a very high possibility that the dpu is not sustainable.

6) Lee Ka Shing was not at the meeting - hence, he was saved from the bashing.

THis business trust reminds me of one business trust that I invested in years ago, which happens to be one of my very first counters in the SGX - CitySpring Infrastructure Trust.

Went among the crowd to take this photo - showing the row of BOD for this trust.

That's right - when the DPU drops, investors would impose a lower price onto it if they are to hold it. And,... if the DPU drops again, investors would repeat the above. It becomes a vicious cycle, until the price drops to a certain floor.

What is this floor ?? The floor arrived at when the DPU does not drop any further,...

Sabana REIT announced its 1Q 2016 results this evening - I don't need to look at the details,... I just looked at the DPU given out for 1Q 2016 :-

1) 1.33 Cts compared to 1.78 Cts in 1Q 2015, ie yoy.

2) 1.33 Cts compared to 1.50 Cts in 4Q 2015, ie qoq.

Both dropped !!!!!!!!

I'm glad I divested Sabana REIT 2 years ago.

In anticipation of interest rate normalization in the near future, HPHT seeks to lower its Consolidated Gross Debt to EBITDA ratio to 4x, as opposed to the 5x guideline set previously. This necessitates repayment of a minimum of HK$1bn of debt annually beginning in 2017, for five years.

This is ~HK$600m above the mandatory amortization of the debt currently being paid yearly. HPHT’s debt restructuring is expected to reduce total consolidated debt from HK$33bn to HK$28bn in 2021. This is expected to reduce interest costs going forward.

For FY16 DPU, the management has left guidance unchanged at 30 to 32 HK cents. Our FY16 DPU forecast remains at 31 HK cents. We maintain HOLD with a fair value estimate of US$0.46.

Keppel Corporation: Driven by property sales in China

Property now accounts for 47% of net profit

The O&M division secured S$0.2b of new orders YTD, and its net order book stands at S$8.6b. Given the dim sector outlook, we expect continued right-sizing of its operations, while pursuing opportunities in niche markets and in non-drilling areas.

Overall, property contributed most to net profit in 1Q16 with a 47% share, followed by O&M’s 45%, and we expect the divergence to increase.

Meanwhile, the group’s net gearing rose slightly from 0.53x to 0.56x in 1Q16. Finally, we update our values for the O&M and property segments, as well as the market values of the group’s listed entities, such that our fair value estimate rises from S$5.07 to S$5.57. Maintain HOLD.
