I'm able to get XF 27mm @ AUD$150 which is equivalent to RM450 after the cash rebate.

Anybody here have experience in using XF 27mm? Is it worth getting at this price since it is dirt cheap? tongue.gif

It's cash rebate offered by Fujifilm Australia and I just found out that it is only available for Australia residents.

Great compact lens for travelling light.
27mm is adequate for a wide range of shooting too.
AF is fast.

How about food photography? It seems like it has long MFD compared to other lenses. If I am getting it I would be using it whenever I'm hanging out with friend at cafe. That's one of the reason why I go for this compact lens. tongue.gif

18mm is very good for food photography due to its short MFD, that's the reason why I love it. biggrin.gif
*
But 18mm prime is just too wide for me. :/

QUOTE(Pacmangoku @ Oct 4 2015, 07:38 PM)
MFD ~30cm. Can't comment much if it's any good for food photography. Not a foodie myself.

Seems like not that bad even though the MFD is around 30cm.

I've contacted Fujifilm Australia regarding to the cash rebate which is only for Australian residents.
Hopefully non Australian residents with their bank card like me are entitled for the rebate. tongue.gif

Buy buy buy

My only "complain" is that I wish it were f2.0 instead. The MFD don't bother me.
*
Definitely getting it. Right now I'm waiting for Fujifilm Australia to reply me regarding to the cash rebate T&C.

Looking for lenses ! Any suggestions where to get new/used Fuji lens in PJ or KL.

Went to YL too few options and price seems steep
*
How about KLDSLR? They have plenty of used lenses but unfortunately they have limited choice for Fuji.

You can visit their website and have a look.

Yeah sadly too few options. Any other sources ? For brand new or used ? Thanks for suggesting KLDSLR

Lowyat garage sales I guess. Fujifilm used market is not that huge compared to other brand.

Just got my cash rebate from Fujifilm Australia. It took 12 days to process. Much faster than Bolehland.

From my last post and some surveys, I think Mr Oss gives the best/competitive pricing here when it comes to Fuji gears. No dispute. I shall arrange a meeting with him soon. Hopefully before Christmas.

I'd like to get some feedbacks from members of the forum here on the X-T1. The question/dilemma here is whether should I get it with:

a) 18-55mm kit lens; or
b) body + 35mm F2 WR; or
c) body + 35mm F1.4; or
d) 18-55mm and 35mm [but this might not happen. too much money d]

This would be my first Fuji gear. My current set is my Canon 5D Mark III with 50mm F.14 & 24-104mm F.4L.

Any input/thoughts are much appreciated. Really looking forward to use the Fuji system.
*
Which focal length do you use it more often? 50mm or 24-104?

If you're used to 50mm then you should go for 35mm or else kit lens will be a good choice.

Erm gavingoh is not based in AU right? It was Xiia0Ban who is based there. Or am I missing anything?

But but X-T1 is such a good camera, really willing to let go meh? cry.gif
*
Yup yup I was staying in AU but I came back. tongue.gif

And Fujifilm camera is slightly cheaper in Australia compared to Malaysia.
For eg: XT1 body is selling at AUD1110 which is equivalent to RM3400.
