Friend of mine got into an accident and this guy from CMS Towing Auto Services offered to help tow my friend car and settle everything from a to z.Long story short they didnt even do anything,when my friend call them to discuss about the problem they didnt even answer any call.In the end my friend have to do everything by himself.

Please beware of this guy and this towing company CMS TOWING AUTO SERVICES.

1. the tower might not have relationship with the dealer.. i once in accident.. the police said go this xx settle all.. but in the end required to go to authorize shop to claim the warranty.

your fren shud have engaged wif his/her insurance company for towing service..

never sign & agree to other tow truck operators.

we are paying hefty insurance premiums yet we dont know the towing service is free within some km radius..50km if im not mistaken..

be it a breakdown or an accident.. call or contact your insurance toll free number..

Thats true.Its not my friend the one driving,its his cousin and my friend was out station so he couldnt contact him.The problem is that the tow guy said he will help him but he just tow the car and bring to workshop only.

Why do ppl trust all this towing service frauds

Towing company don't do anything. They just tow to the workshop. It's the workshop that's suppose to "do everything" for you ... liase with insurance company, adjuster, get police report, etc.

TS: which workshop did your car end up in? (so that we can avoid it if we want them to handle the insurance claim for us).

PS: TS, how did you get his personal pictures? All those pictures and no picture of his tow truck? I find it weird that the tow truck driver would give you this kind of pictures to you.

It's something people don't really get exposure or learn.

They're the callmans. They will go 'longkai' (Ronda) around their area for accidents. Spotted one and will inform their friends through their walkie talkie. Then they'll be at the scene, convincing the owner to sign a document, allowing them to do almost whatever they want to the car. Once the car is up on the truck. Their job there is done, and they'll get a commission.

If your friend is a callman, that's where u can settle your car part modifications. Can claim this part, but replace with after market parts for free. Or u top up a little bit, depending on your relationship with the workshop/callman and also the adjuster.

When shit happens, I call my own workshop for minors and my insurance for majors. I don't go through other people. Bad experience on my totaled car😤😤😤

Once you sign and let him tow the car, you risk to pay massive repair fee ( maybe no repair at all ) and also risk they remove your car original parts for some cheap parts.

Never sign anything. Call your insurance provider, or your authorised service center. Better to tow the car back to your workshop. If you really need the tow car service for some reason, never sign anything, pay them to tow the car back to your workshop (with you in the tow car).

Sometimes the police will work together with the tow truck, urging you to tow away the car immediately or he will give you a saman. People will then sign due to fear and panic. Just tell to police if wan saman, then go ahead, or ask the DBKL to tow it away. Never sign anything as your signature means consent for them to do whatever they want.

Well, if your car is causing a massive jam, and there's already a tow truck there, but you want to call your own tow truck and wait 1 hour for it, and force 10,000 people to be 1 hour late ...

Maybe you can negotiate with the police and tow truck? Pay RM50 for the tow truck to pull your vehicle just a short distance away so that it stops blocking traffic?

Most tow truck works to cheat your money and perhaps remove your original parts of your car.
Their aim is to make you sign and your case is lost once you signed.

Do you think so much of the car behinds you and prepared to get scammed? Of course if there is option, I would push my car to the side. But definitely no way to let them tow the car.

Things will be difficult if the driver decided to tow your car to his workshop instead of tow your car to safe location. Then you have to deal with thugs on your own. Do you want that?

I rather get a saman or DBKL to tow the car back to their compound. This way you ensure the safety of your car and maybe fines few hundreds rather than few thousands (and maybe not even a good repair) from the scammers.

Depends on the policy, most auto insurance will put big big words like free towing for breakdown issues etc....but actually, got fine print states free towing for those who opt for extra coverage like window etc

Hi guys. Yesterday my car got accident near seremban2. Called the insurance auto ssist ( AXA affin) they told me my insurance was third party so it wont cover the towing service. So they gave me my number to some longkai named hairi. He then came separately with two towing truck company, Binjai and CMS towing. I agreed to leave my car at binjas cms bodywork and paint. He said they will give quotation on monday. Now after some research on the internet, I am worried if they charge me ridiculously. My car is proton wira, some damage on the right tyre, might be the arm bar, lamp, mudguard .

My friends was involved in car accident, 3 call men reached within 5 minutes. Already told them many times our own insurance tow truck was coming. They still waited till the truck reach. Our insurance tow man talked with the 3 call men, but they don't leave so the damaged car cant be towed away. These 3 call men 100% looked like gangster from head to toe. At last we drove the damaged car slowly to nearby carpark and call another tow truck.

These call man really sucks, the attitude and outlook make people scare to give them business.
