The lag couldn't be resolve as this phone has the thermal problem, which it easily gotten really hot and the processor get throttle down. This phone is not recommended for playing heavy games, normal social use is good than enough.

Nope. MIUI 8 supposed to be released on 16 Aug. But still no ROM. read some where that actual date delayed to 23 Aug.

Yeah, the UI seems nicer. But I don't see any performance improvement. Still based on Android 5. Was hoping for 6.

I think not much Xiaomi can do without throttling down the CPU too much. MIUI to be blame perhaps?

hello everyone. i have been a user of mi4i for a little more than a year.

since yesterday my phone is unable to detect network, it says "no service".

i tried changing my sim to another sim slot, rebooting, turning it off for some time and then turn it on again, but the problem is still there. fyi the sim card works perfectly fine in another phone.

Did anyone experience this before? I suspect it is software issue, because when i tried to change "preferred network type", it wont work and it was stuck at 2g network (if sim is in slot 1) or at LTE network (if the sim is in slot 2).

this is so frustrating coz i can only rely on wifi to go online with my phone now and i cant receive important phone calls.

p/s: i also tried selecting mobile network manually but the phone can't detect any network lol.

hi there
have you tried changing the mode at *#*#info#*#*?
regardless, it does sound like a software issue. to confirm, if you can dial 112 (emergency service) means the hardware got no problem.

worst case, reflash

No I haven't.

I tried calling 112, a notification poped out saying 'please turn off aeroplane mode to make a call'. What does that indicate?
