I'm currently on MIUI 6.7.2, i can say it's stable enough for me.

It does feel sluggish at times.
Animation is sluggish at times. Launching apps sometimes take its own sweet time.

I'm coming from Snapdragon 801 before, and I could live with this phone laugh.gif

I recently made up my mind to go for Mi4i then I noticed wayyyy too many posts in Garage Sales selling away their Mi4i.
I mean, most of the sellers have only used it for a pretty short time, a lot of them put down "upgrade", or "wanna try other phone" as reason.

It got me scared a little. Are there hidden problems with this phone that tend to appear after certain usage?
Does it lag a lot after some times?

Alot did complaint of heating and/or battery drain issues after updating. I think xiaomi kinda messed up the updates. I never ran any updates hence mind is the stock MIUI 6.5.3 version which has one of the best battery life and less heating issue.
The phone can be laggy/hot if one stresses it out with high processing stuff.

to me this phone is a budget phone with slim body and fantastic screen. The specs are "just enough" to do basic photo and video viewing/you tubing. Camera hardware is medicore which i feel should have been improved.

For RM749, i never did regret purchasing my Mi4i. But i cannot say for others.
If i had RM1k budget for a phone i definitely recommend this phone.

Any news about when MIUI7 will be available for mi4i?
I'm new to Android and just got my new mi4i recently, but have not started using it (lazy to explore and migrate from my BB yet), was wondering shall I wait for the MIUI7 update first then only migrate my things or it doesn't matter?

So far after move to MIUI7, mi4i is getting better...

no more heating up issue....lagging is once a while...due to memory leak issue from lollipop maybe? or miui ram management itself?

before this i need to reboot everyday, if not sure lag like nobody biz...now no more reboot, if facing lag just clear the memory then will be ok back

mi4i has always been on lollipop, I think it is due to it being more optomized

ohh tot ur already on miui7 official update. is on verge of giving up on my mi4i. the frequent lag & unresponsiveness is getting on my nerves. giving it one last chance with waiting for miui7 update. if that doesnt help redmi note 2 do sound tempting.
