Hi all,
Planning to buy a used 408T year 2012. I have few questions hopefully to get some feedbacks.

The car has service record stamps and the extended warranty booklet. Is this enough? I plan verify with number plate at SC.

Where is the yellow tweezer located?

Is it true Peugeot cars have Aircon problems after they are parked for a week or more? I've came across 2 cars like this, Aircon not cold. Last salesman said this is normal in his experience, and driving the car will revive it.

Is it true 408T has some improvements over 308T? Comparing both 6 speed variants.

Thanx in advance.

Good to verify with SC for valid warranty. Yes those booklets with proper maintenance records may be necessary for warranty claims. Records should be available at Naza, but sometimes have got lost.

Yellow tweezer should be in tool kit with the spare wheel in the boot.

The unfold air con in these cars is probably due to gas leakage.

408t has a lot of difference from the 308t. 408t engine incorporates 8 modifications, addressing reliability issues.

Good morning, thanks.

Found some users posted their experience, mostly negative on other sites. Not to mention car needed towing.

Issues related to: Aircon - cooling coil, compressor.
Power train - timing chain, etc.

Question is, has SC improved and stocked most of these parts or would there still be long waits for replacements?

In short, some users do get lucky with near faultless units. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Power train & timing chain has been a problem with 308t. These issues have been fixed on the 408t. Some minor issues, usually sensors, but once fixed has not been a problem.I've had coolant temp. & ABS sensor failed 2 years ago. Changed on warranty, no problems, 5th year now.
Air con has been an issue. It's Denso, popular Japanese make. Looks like Denso is cutting too many corners thesedays!

Spares is not a problem, mine were fixed the same day. Had to wait 2 weeks for air con spare. Most SC outsource air con maintenance.

Aircon fix, is it costly?
I've seen someone mention need 5k quoted by Peugeot.
Does extended warranty cover it?

Appreciate it again thanks.

I've spent an afternoon and looked at few 308T, 408T, none in satisfactory condition.
Sure hope you guys here have better luck.

One thing though, some of the buttons like the 308T moonroof and the window switches seemed to have this sticky feeling. Does anyone do something about it?

NA major service is at 80k where critical engine parts are changed. Hence the high price. Evids would be Gb fluid,i guess.THP major service is at 60k,engine is subjected to greater stress than NA, hence earlier major service. I remember paying $3600 for major service. Our 6spd Gb fluid itself cost $600+.

Hella makes the Climate Control system. My guess the EVIDS fluid is for today. AISIN gearbox uses ATF fluid.

Guess I'll wait few years for good used Pug e-THP.

My rear windscreen tinted after 10 years. When remove my heater damaged. Need to use knife to peel it off.

The shop said I have been conned because quality tinted will not be like this. It shall be like a piece of film that can be removed as one piece.

The tinted was done at the sales center arranged by sales advisor.

What do you think?

Shop say is correct. And spray alcohol to remove slowly can keep heater working.

Anybody kena jerking at every gear shift? What's the solution for that? Went to fb group they say coz water entered/mix with ATF but i went to workshop and they checked the ATF still like new, no contamination.

Changed the spark plugs and coil packs but still not solved. Jerking like mad still at every gear shift.
