You can order a base model, save up serious cash$$ and do these upgrades yourself since Apple Malaysia seems to sprinkle gold dust in their RAM (they cost a bloody arm!)
HD & RAM -- you can upgrade or extend your HD space by using an external drive. Get the specified RAM online (www.ramjet.com), or if you want to get the RAM locally, read the specs carefully (http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/imac/faq_cd/imac-intel-how-to-upgrade-memory.html) and buy top brands only.
You could potentially save RM$(add a number here), which I think is capable of buying a bloody arm. Or a nice iPod.
Remember to troll the forums for any hints of an updated iMac (probably mid next year??).
Next --Ask around for a reputable M'sian Mac vendor for competitive pricing, OR wait for PC Fair the trois this 1-3 Dec to look out for discounts which MAY include the upgrades you wanted.
Good luck and enjoy your tool!
