Hi can I stay in campus hostel during orientation week? Do I need to bring along my own pillow, bed sheet or other else ? I still do not receive any reply about my on campus hostel application

Hello, does anyone know of any good rooms near MMU Cyberjaya?
Am looking for one which is:
-walking distance to campus
-cooking is allowed (has a stove)
-private room
-attached bathroom* (not necessary, but is a bonus)

P.S. I've been looking into Cyberia SmartHomes but seen it has gained some bad rep.? Can someone confirm this?

Cyberia Smarthomes - I stayed thoughout my Degree years in E-Block.

The main advantage is that it is VERY close to MMU if you're staying in E-block but you need an access card for the small gate, if not mistaken I think need RM 50 for it not sure about the price now.

Overall, it was a good stay for E-block if you ask me.

What was the bad reputation again ?
Was it the forced access cards for all residents using the small gate to MMU while they knew that most of them are MMU students ?

I am not sure about other places though, but if you have other choices maybe can consider about it.

It was RM30. Now after new management take over Im not sure. Now they already fixed the roads, and painted some of the blocks. The lifts are also being repaired.

Hello, I'll be joining FIT Cyberjaya this July in Foundation in IT and planning to further my study in BoCS specialized in Game Development..
I have a few questions regarding a few clubs that I'm interested in joining.

1) Basketball club: Is this club still active? Does it join any tournaments nationwide/internationally? Achievements? What are the fixed time and days (or the usual time and days) for practice? And where do they practice?

2) Aikido club: Same questions as #1

3)Emina: Still active? Any recent activities and events? What do the club usually do? Oh and do the club attend any Anime or similar expo (I.e. ComicFest, Penang Anime Matsuri, etc.)?

4)Game Developers club: Still active?

Oh also, how big is a triple-sharing room for the on-campus male hostel? I'll be bringing in my PC with me, and since I don't have any internal WiFi card installed, may I use cable instead in the hostel?

I would say it is somewhat important but a waste of time. too many unnecessary activities.

The only one in walking distance is Cyberia, but gonna be hard to get a single room except for the lower floor one which is really small. If u dont mind sweating when u have afternoon classes, can go crescent or the arc which has single rooms at 250+.

What kind of bad rep btw? The area or housing?

I've stayed at the Arc and Cyberia. So far Cyberia is the best choice.

The Arc
- rent is usually 1600 - 1800 per unit. 400 - 550 per room ( the rooms are all similar in size except for corner unit)
- water bill is high (management controlled. I think they overcharge the water bill. had to pay around 40-50 with 6 people in the house without washing machine!)
- electricity is high (for block A and B. uses top up card. had to pay around 250 per month without even using a/c!)

Cyberia Townvilla 2
- rent around 1600 - 2000 per unit. 250 - 650 per room (depending on room)
- water bill is low (management controlled. had to pay around 20 with 6 people in the house + washing machine!)
- electricity pay directly to TNB (around half of what im paying in the Arc per month without a/c but with 2 fridge!)

Btw, are skinny jeans allowed on the Cyberjaya campus?

Guys I am first week staying at MMU melaka in campus hostel.. the internet there gooding can reach 90mbps but they use their own DNS lookup ip so a lot of restricted websites.. I can't even access utottent to download the utility.. if I manually set my dns ip no internet connection at alll
