5. Unreleased hot wheels cars are prohibited from the thread.

SOME HOTWHEELS TERMINOLOGY:
1. ERROR - Hot Wheels with mistake, this either referring to error in car or the card. Error could be wrong wheels, tampo, window, wrong car in card, etc.
2. DEFECT - the same as ERROR... they are both UN-intentional and is NOT mass produced. ..
3. VARIATION - Derivation from the same model, most of the time is variation of colour and tampo.
4. TAMPO - Painted designs that are pre-applied to castings through a pad press process.
5. WAVES - Assortment of the models in each carton. Mattel arrange the assortment according to the wave code in size of 72 cars in a carton. Collectors always refer new wave to new models out to market.
6. DEAD CASE - Means the box/case of 72 hotwheel cars did not contain any Treasure Hunt/$ cars.
7. CASTING - General term that refers to the Hot Wheels model.

Have you tried resizing the image ? I think the forum title image only supports 75 X 75 dpi.

Sometimes I do this as well, but only if pegs not packed. If packed with pegwarmers, susah jugak

i seldom do this, would going to next place nearby if didnt found any on current location..

I just heard from RG video that future Retro will be handled by a single distributor in USA. Does the same method apply to Malaysia? If so that means no more Retro for Malaysia on retail anymore? Or even any adult collectors for that matter? It makes me realize that how screw up Mattel is even more when doing this. No wonder we cannot complete some long running sets. Change distributor halfway and don't care for continuity anymore because new contract. Sial punya Mattel. I'm selling everything like this. Because never can complete anything. Cool Classics also barely pass complete for everyone. Now this new Redline, blah blah line like could suffer same fate.

Might as well order bulk from outside Malaysia but then again the exchange rate...

Don't think so coz Malaysian retail are handled directly by Mattel Asia..
Only places like 7E, Mynews an speedmart are handled by an authorised distributor..

Some series due bypass Malaysia due to licensing only for US market..

on peg susah sikit la.

. Order je case pastu share.. save the hassle of hunting but bear with some casting you don't collect..


surprisingly I am still buying from US and the price I am getting way cheaper than anyone selling ere..(2nd market price of coz)

Giant is doing this 'Branded Fest' and HW is one of the featured brand. Surprised to found many old cards with damn good condition. The best thing is its on promo price at RM6.99!

Mixture of both years. Majority 2014. Went to other Giant. They have special segment called Home Fair. Started last 24/9. I found 2016 cars too. And one old 2012 HW City Works 5 Pack

Ok, now I'm really really curious...how & where do you guys buy a whole case here in Malaysia??! And how much does it cost? I know we can buy cases from resellers on eBay etc, but they're all from overseas & shipping prices are astronomical. Please, do share.

The Giants I've been to recently (Prima Saujana, Permata, Setiawangsa) semua hampeh Some don't even carry hotwheels!

If I remember correctly, I spoke to one of the HW promoter back then. He said Jusco (now AEON) have that set. I managed to get the BMW M3 only. But I got mine from Giant during HW promo. I saw few sets from AmCorp Mall. Oh well AmCorp will always have all the sets. Get ready your RM RM je haha

BTW, I just got that Mercury Cougar too. Now I have Blue, Red, White and Orange
