[attachmentid=5533290]

Btw, no casing or screen protector in BC. They said only accs like charger and stuff.

Dat phone! Any lags or software issues?

Btw, not surprising since Celcom has been well-known for being greedy.

IMHO, the cheapest way to get this 'expensive' device is with a subsidized plan from telco. You will be using the plan for the device anyway. If you are a hardcore BB users, I don't think you will change the device soon.

For those on contract, ask your telco if you can be re-contracted and get the device on subsidized price. I felt that its a huge amount of money to 'burn' on a device at RRP. For Celcom, you can trade in your old device and knock-off the price.

Btw, will give my humble review soon =)

Or get one from Singapore, can save about RM 200. biggrin.gif

To those who bought the Priv from BlackBerry stores, didn't you guys asked for free gifts which includes screen protector and case etc. lol?

It's a must for such an expensive phone like this. FREE GIFT MUST!

is buying the Priv in M'sia a good deal ? ie: Apple products in Malaysia are priced among the lowest globally (with USD as base currency)

any comparison on where BB products are cheapest ?
*
Buying from Singapore would be a better deal if you don't mind the hassle for warranty, if you convert the Singapore price to MYR, it would cost like around RM 3300+ which is cheaper than what we have here.

Or you can find a seller here in LYN, there's one in this topic, but I forgot who it was. He sells for like around RM 3300 as well.

Hi is the Malaysia version (the one from Celcom) already on the latest firmware version, or better still already receive the latest update ota? Just a little concern with the carrier update takes too long to happen, before I take the plunge.

Another question: is it easy to find priv from Celcom in KL? Checked all 3 bluecube store in Kuching they are out of stock (they only had 2 per store it seems).
*
There are no carrier-locked phones in Malaysia lol, any phones that are sold in Malaysia are unlocked. The update comes directly from BlackBerry, and Celcom ain't gonna do crap about it.

You should check out the Blue Cube store at Sunway Pyramid, they might still have available stock.

I last checked yesterday - quite few retailers now only selling it S$970-980 which is slightly around rm3k!
I will have a look at it on my next trip there next week
Personally for me Spore is nearer ( 1.5 hours)  vs KL (4 hours)
*
Yeah, it's weird that BlackBerry Malaysia is selling it for RM 3559, it doesn't make any sense.

Is it just me or the smart case for Priv looks ugly? It looks even worse than Xperia Z5 smart case IMO.

Has anybody seeing any price drop yet on Priv?
*
Well, Satugadget currently stated the price as "Call for pricing" instead of RM 3559 that was stated previously.

UPDATE: Called them just now, they said it's out of stock.
