Think one of the major differences is the size of the map. And how crowded when battle take place.

The battle map is about 1/5 if not 1/8 of tw. And when it's crowded. Most of your "tactics" in mind have no room to use. And then there's this city siege. Which is even more chaotic. Basically just all cramp at the gates when it's been destroyed and see whose side have more soldiers and better generals. No skill involved

Does it have campaign map too ?

I did 'download' once an earlier version but couldn't figure out anything since it's in Chinese.

The graphics does looks nice though.

Graphic is ok..not really better than total wars thought.

What people play is for it's story and gameplay, which still need some fix.

Aye, Koei came out with DLCs after Nobunaga + PK release as well but thankfully the DLCs are just add-on scenarios that we can live without. Fingers crossed that this is the same for RoTK else sigh, have to wait for translators again.
*
But base on nobunaga pattern, it may take 1 year which is 2017 to release PK, then the best chance to get 50% discount is in that winter sales.
So we have to wait until Dec 2017 for a complete game which maybe still RM100.00 for base game +PK.

For DLC, they say if we buy now, we auto get 3 scenarios for free. Base on Nobunaga, it will be about RM8.00 per dlc. In sales also the best is 33% discount which about RM5.30.
I dunno about Nobunaga but in RTK, the scenario actually quite fun and needed for complete of the games.

So base on prediction, if buy now which is RM149, after 1 year PK out which about RM50 (assume higher price compare to Nobunaga cos RTK13 base price also quite high) plus those scenario dlc which will be more than RM200 already.
If wait until 2017 winter sales which got 50% it is still about RM100++ without dlc.

So far all of these are chinese/japan version.

If english come out at 2017 direct include PK version, it may got chance to price at RM105 then winter sales is RM52.50

But I really like to get chinese version rather than english for this kind of game.
Now the only problem is should wait 2 years to get a complete with 50% discount or get now with half bake cake with this price. (consider we are 3rd cheapest in whole world for this game)

Easy decision actually for me. If u loved rotk / is really hardcore about the history and story. It's worth it. If u just want a strategy game. Definite big no. Not a good game even for its price

I think the battle system graphic is about dated....

Anyway I prefer the good old SLG style with Fog of war which was implemented in the 7 and 8

each enemy outpost u take out will drop enemy morale by 30, and if u take out the main outpost, u win the battle no matter how many enemies left on battlefield.

if u just started playing, its pretty safe to assume more armies = win. the more u've dived into it, u can come up with strat like ambush and pocket ambush to achieve 3v5 ratio wins. seasoned players can pull off bugs to trick ai and they can win enemies 5x to 10x their numbers by luring them out and clinging on them while sending surprise troops to take out their main outposts. i didnt read much into that tho haha.

U need to be high ranked enough and in charge of multiple cities in order to invade from several cities. Or else it's entirely up to u and your city only. A trick is u can use the 1 time special request to ask for a city of your nation to invade an enemy city. Then u control your own city 's army to hit the same opponent city.
