QUOTE(MilitaryMadness @ Sep 18 2015, 04:05 PM) I remembered reading somewhere that the 'teeth-to-tail ratio' (the ratio of soldiers who do secondary work like logistics support or intelligence duties vs soldiers who are actually fighting on the front lines) in the US military is so massive, it was speculated that only 30% of the US military are front-line soldiers. Wonder if this is true? QUOTE(alaskanbunny @ Sep 18 2015, 04:28 PM) not surprising... with modern weaponry there's firepower multiplier.. that's why PLA is reducing manpower and focusing more on tech.. fine example is israel, matching both manpower and machinery... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(kerolzarmyfanboy @ Sep 22 2015, 05:43 PM) why most of the times they will send out the Hinds and not the Mi-28 Havoc or Kamov Ka-52 Alligator? probably the latter 2 were more of a tank hunter while the hind was more like a mujaheddin muncherchanging topic, has anyone watched Bravo 5? reviews anyone? Aside from the jet intakes and outlet, doesn't this thing just look like an extremely adorable mini F16 ?

Why are there so many talks about the caspian sea ships after that few cruise missile strikes when there are only 4 nations around it.
It has no access to an actual sea anywhere and there are no fleets there, just a flotila. |

QUOTE(BorneoAlliance @ Oct 16 2015, 07:26 PM) Turkey shoots down unidentified military aircraft for violating airspace near Syria still havent found pictures of that rumored crash Mig 29.![]() http://www.ibtimes.co.in/turkey-shoots-dow...airspace-650844 and I was sad the ruskies didnt bring MiGs to Syria. at this point, im taking everything coming out with a bowl of salt, considering how much they like to be first to post, rather than first to be accurate. these "newspapers" keep using the term unconfirmed or claim all the day, plus the photo linked was from Twitter and was removed This post has been edited by Gregyong: Oct 16 2015, 07:30 PM |
