TM claims they never throttle youtube

[attachmentid=4951009]

Then why speedtest still can get 30mbps but youtube buffering is as slow as a snail?
*
Hmm, maybe you asked wrong question?
Should be use the term of Managed Speed during Peak hours or Network Congested....

Hi all,

Is this consider OK speed for Unifi VIP5 @ JB? (Nearly 15000Kbps)
Can loaded smooth 720p, abit lags on 1080p due to poor quality of graphic cards for ultrabook...

*Tweaked TCP, DNS and optimized my aged 5.5yrs notebook rclxms.gif

for ipv6
1st dns is google dns
2nd and 3rd is opendns lol
not sure ada conflict or not
*
You're wrong.

I'm using unifi at JB, and I did some tests and researches.

fastest ipv4 is secondary opendns, follow by secondary googledns, 1.9.1.9 is sometime timed out that why connection is not stable and slow.

But fastest ipv6 is TMdns, follow by secondary googledns, then secondary opendns.

I'll try avoid using primary dns since majority was using it, and sometime got spikes compared to secondary dns.

Just got called from TM, went ahead with the 50MBps upgrade from VIP20.

My question is, can the stock router handle 50MBps?
*
depend your router type, B is 11mbps, G is 54mbps, N is 150-300mbps, AC is latest...

If you don't mind me asking, why 50 Mbps while you are already using 20 Mbps? I am still using 2 Mbps. Ha.

I am using Net Meter. I can get 1.7 Mbps on clear days. Sometimes streaming is slow and this is not due to my 2 Mb as Net Meter is sitting at 0.2-0.5 Mbps (limitation is somewhere else). So even if I upgraded to 50 Mbps, I think I will still be sitting at 0.2 - 0.5 Mbps for that connection. Correct me if I am wrong.

Sorry to trouble you. Just trying to find out more and to clear my mind on upgrading. Ha.

Cheerio.
*
easy say, if you comfort with your current speed, then just continue enjoying it....

For me, I need better latency, fiber-optic can saving extra 40ms compare to copper line (even stable compare to thunderstorm)

So promo price for new customers only or can i upgrade my unifi 30 with aneka (199 excluding gst) to unifi 30 with hypptv jumbo (209 excluding gst?). Kind of upset since loyal customers pay more
*
Yup, i also wanna know too, currently paid $167 for 5Mbps but now pay extra RM22 for addon 25mbps is affordable...

Can someone double-confirm with TM call centre or TM points? Thanks.

Lol I saw your tweet

Anyway we should all complain to tm, what's the point of early bird package if we applied it earlier than these 'early' bird and yet we are the one paying more
*
Let's raise up this matters to SKMM, Newsmedia, Facebook and Twitter, can organize a campaign to TM.
Really UNFAIR to existing subscribers. sweat.gif

My friend called tm and asked about it, he say we can go to tmpoint to renew contract again for rm179 without any charges, but i think it'll be a new 24 months contract
*
Confirmed?
If like that, still OK for me to upgrade then.
After all, it's until 31st Dec...

maybe..maaybe, why the call early bird now because they just officially launch it, is not prev was just a trial/pilot?
*
The first batch is launched secret since mid-years,
second batch is last mid-month by announcements,
now is third batch by officially advertised.

Therefore legally in laws, those FIRST and SECOND batches should be the REAL early birds adopters!!
*instead of third batch.... mad.gif

Basically, people who upgraded before 15 October are guinea pigs (me included)...
Now my package is RM 20 more expensive every month compared to those who subscribed today.

What is this marketing crap?  vmad.gif

Guinea pig's sacrifice is not worth for it.

Stupid marketing scheme.
*
Damm, I'm oso nearly become Geinea pig, still wondering how come that time TMpoint staffs kept suggested me to register Unifi later (原来如此)

But I choose to ignore his advices and go register with TMdealer since it was LAST unifi port.
*luckily that day, the reseller ordering system cannot place order to 30mbps or 50mbps, so them registered 5mbps for me, super HENG arh~~
