Tried the demo just now. Your stamina is the worst enemy in this game but I like it tbh haha. If only they can fix, when you lock on enemy you have to face them all the time without holding guard button...

first... from Witcher3 i got into DS3, the control so diff i died so many times... now from DS3 get into Nioh.... the control is like Witcher3 .... again... died coz i keep on pressing R1... i was like.... damn it....

seriously..... some game X is confirm, O is cancel.... some the other way round..... cant they just make the game all the same? or at least let gamers customize the control??

They cant, think someone mentioned this was a regional thing that makes control scheme like that, asian vs westerner style I think. But would be great though to have the option to remap the buttons.

You all know that you can just use custom button assignment through your PS4 right? It applies system wide, so you don't have to deal with games forcing you to use a button config you don't want to.

Yeah they need to improve the lock on mode. Doesn't make sense with lock on but when you dodge/evade, the camera is all over the place again.

The game is brutal. Even more brutal than the souls games. No more stamina can GG and enemy hit so much harder than you. Those revenant even more brutal.

this demo only available in US PSN? i can't seem to find it in asia psn..

No it is available in Asian R3 too I am playing using R3 account since we are gonna get R3 discs in Malaysia

i think this demo is very promising, despite there's some lock on and sudden drop into sea and die thingy. first 10 minute of the game is just trial and error, dying and being frustrated, get chop 3 times by revenant and die. once get a hang of it, it's much easier.

getting gang mob is so OP, but i like the item drop rate, so much item drop and there's the rare item with color rating, nice. definitely getting it when it launch.

I think originally they wanted to do something like ninja gaiden onimushi style, but changed to DS style in the end.
Really copy kau-kau, with most of the DS signature mechanics in it, you die easily, as the foot soldiers can easily kill you. Facing a mob at one go is a sure way to die fast.
You died, and you'll have to start over from nearest checkpoint, instead of bonfire you pray at a shrine. Enemies respwan whenever you use the shrine. And you'll hav to go all the way back to where you died to pick up your precious exp.
Shortcuts like gates n ladders just like DS/BB
Also the stone to throw at enemies to lure them away frm group ala BB
But so far no weapons upgrades, but they hav weapon grades ala diablo style with diff colors.
Since its still alpha, still got a few bugs, especially the locking mechanism, died many times due to chopping air instead of locked on enemy.
Graphics wise is awesome

Think I'll grab it when it's released
