Nearly forgotten about this game again.
Anyways, limited time demo will be available from April 26th to May 5th. So... yeah, this game is even more obscure than FFXV at this point. |

Japanese Geralt... lol.
![]() Honestly, I like the decision of having both 900p/60fps and 1080p/30fps option. I don't see this game coming out this year though, tbh. |

You all know that you can just use custom button assignment through your PS4 right? It applies system wide, so you don't have to deal with games forcing you to use a button config you don't want to.
I don't know what's the big issue here. |

To those that think Nioh is a shallow Dark Souls copy cat, think again after watching this:
This was done on beta/last chance trial. Half the gameplay elements are still locked, so imagine the possibilities in the full game. Nioh is shaping up to be something special where the many could unfortunately just shrug off because of the surface resemblance it has to Dark Souls. But look closer and it's almost nothing like it. Day 1 for me after the last chance trial. This post has been edited by SSJBen: Jan 24 2017, 05:38 PM |

QUOTE(Xarzmarz @ Jan 25 2017, 04:08 PM) Parry only works best against small-mid size monster..its optional tho..afaik the parry system not rewarding enough during the beta..the time gap to counter attack after parry too short..as for boss u just gonna cause ur own death Don't parry boss? Hmm this game got multiplayer can play n farm together..preorder this bro not horizon~~~~~ha ha ha *poisoning ur mind* Why the F not when it's possible to do this so easily?! |

QUOTE(danger46 @ Feb 3 2017, 09:46 AM) And... they're wrong, just like almost every "big-time" reviewer.Unfortunately, most people will play this game with a Bloodborne/Dark Souls mentality. By playing Nioh like that, the game is worse than any Soulsborne game. Really, aside from some items, several minor mechanics (dodging for example), Nioh is almost NOTHING like Bloodborne. The combat mechanics are much deeper, it's also several times faster paced (unless again, you play with a Bloodborne/Dark Souls mentality), and also much more flexible. I blame the marketing by Sony too, saying to "scratch the Souls itch". Making Nioh sound like a Dark Souls clone with a Japanese feudal setting. My suggestion is don't go in and play this game like Bloodborne. Otherwise like many have experienced, it's just boring and frustrating. USE the combos, quick switch weapons, cancel animations, quick parry and riposte. Ninja Gaiden vets, you all know what I'm talking about. Play it with the mentality of a slower NG game, not the other way around. |

QUOTE(Shinka @ Feb 6 2017, 06:07 PM) Guys, just wanna ask, is this game a very stressful one? I really enjoy the Onimusha series, but I find Bloodborne to be a chore and more of a stressful experience than an enjoyable one. (die, rinse, repeat) There's never been a Team Ninja game where you won't die repeatedly until you learn how the mechanics work.I understand that this game is pretty difficult, but will it be a game where you just keep dying in order to learn? Or will it be a game where you can upgrade your weapons, HP and to make fights easier (like Onimusha)? Weapon upgrades, armor upgrades, stats buff... they're all there to help you make fights more manageable (easier or not is subjective). But it will not give you the ability to snow ball everything, you can only do that with your own skill. You will die even more than you did in Bloodborne. I'm sure of it. I mentioned it in the previous page, you go into this game with a Bloodborne mentality and it'll kick your ass really, really hard. If you think that is stressful, then this game isn't for you. |

QUOTE(Shinka @ Feb 6 2017, 07:04 PM) Thanks for your inputs Ben. I couldn't even get past the first boss in Bloodborne, and it's very frustrating. Sold the game off in the end. Pick up Yakuza 0 then. Best stress reliever in recent years.I come home from work tired at the end of the day and the last thing I wanna do is to have another stressful experience in front of my TV lol. Would rather prefer easier hack and slash games like onimusha or Diablo. Skipping this one! |

If it makes you all feel better, the DLCs from the demos are pretty worthless overall.

Those who are on US PSN, check your weekly update newsletter from Sony. If you have 20% discount code, Nioh is on sale now on the store for $40.19. Put that discount code in and it's only $32. Insane value.

QUOTE(zororo @ Apr 7 2017, 06:51 PM) Spear is good for the long reach.... Check your weight percentage.Just want to ask...how do know the max weight i can wear for armour? Does the item i carry affect the weight ? If i wear heavy armour i.e. western warrior set...cant swing weapons or evade much b4 out of qi Below 30% = A (Blue) Between 31% to 70% = B (Green) Above 70% = C (Yellow) Weight affects Ki consumption, rate of regen, how far you can dodge from side/backwards. You can however always dash no matter your weight and your swing speed is always affixed to the weapon type you are using. |

QUOTE(starz92 @ Apr 27 2017, 08:59 AM) guys, Grinding doesn't do anything. You get more amrita, you get to increase some stats... but that's it. What makes your character is the equipment build, not the stats. Stats won't save you from much, not a boss at least.I am currently level 85 axe and dual sword user..currently stuck at level 120 ishida mitsunari boss area... should I grind first and come back later? If so where should I grind at this point of time? You either summon a visitor to help, keep trying, or fight remnants in hope of getting some better EQ. EQ makes all the difference in this game. |

QUOTE(miyamoto_musashi @ May 5 2017, 09:37 AM) hey guys, this game has been on my radar for some time. but was waiting for a price drop. It's on sale now on psn, about RM150 for ps plus (RM170 for non members). The deluxe version is also on sale but it's about RM260. Get the standard edition, buy the season pass on sale when all 3 DLCs content are released.Question, which version should i get? At this point, I don't really like where the direction of the game is going. I like the main game, really do. But with the latest Masamune DLC, all TN has done was add 3 missions, 1 difficulty, a "new" weapon which isn't even new at all since it basically just rips off the moves from the spear and axe, then also nerfing almost every thing under the sun. Oh and PVP is unplayable at the moment. So... yeah, get the main game which would tie you near 40-50 hours of gameplay. See if you want more after that and then decide. |
