QUOTE(Ramjade @ Nov 13 2015, 10:09 PM) Any idea why are they only promoting topping up of as1m online and not asw2020 or asm as well? I only can think 1 reason. more units available compare with the other 2 funds plus, asw2020 gonna suspended for system upgrade

I hope the new ASW2020 passbook would be better quality than ASM passbook. the new ASM passbook looks kinda "cheap". I like the old one. paper quite thick & good quality

QUOTE(HJebat @ Nov 14 2015, 01:43 AM) Yesterday around 1510, tried to accumulate ASW but was told that the system is down u better try fast. 19 - 22 Nov suspended for system upgrade. they say start 23 nov can use new system, but based on previous ASM experience, after 1week only can change book, system & staff "ready" for it

QUOTE(Mr Gray @ Nov 14 2015, 12:12 AM) For information, should you want to topup into any funds that are often difficult to top-up, it's better to try your luck at ASNB branches nationwide. Currently (not sure since when), agents (ie banks & Pos Malaysia) can no longer view the available allocation for each funds. ASNB had stopped the practice due to frequent occurrence of questionable practices in the banks. Eg, bank teller lied to customer, and used the allocation for themselves. As such, your best luck is still with the ASNB branches. wah all tis time agents can "view" the available quota yet they told us cannot "view", need to try luck yeah, the "frequent occurrence of questionable practices" at agents banks are there. most of us can confirm it but ASNB branch needed to bring cash. high risk inb4 malaysia masih aman damai, tiada kecurian / ragut

QUOTE(kpfun @ Nov 14 2015, 10:03 AM) Physical passbook is an antique regardless of how sexy outlook was designed. Maybe, some folks appreciate it. ASNB lives in a half developed high-tech world. Long time ago, they should allow us buy, sell and check online directly. well I do hope they can do everything online & at the same time keep the passbook too. I do admire & love to "feel" the passbook. I donno how to explain, u need to feel for yourself.

QUOTE(Mr Gray @ Nov 14 2015, 03:17 PM) You don't have to bring cash la. bank draft is also acceptable. And normal cheque as well. Proof here, http://www.asnb.com.my/v3_/asnbv2_3service...laburantambahanthe last time they accept my bank draft is when there's opening for new subscription. gave the bank draft & ASx passbook to ASNB. keep there for 1 week. then only collect it later. after that all cash transaction only until now

QUOTE(Mr Gray @ Nov 14 2015, 09:40 PM) Haha. 2014 and 2015 have been two very challenging years for PNB. Nevertheless, as we are quite a conservative investor, crisis years have often meant opportunities to accumulate stocks at bargain prices. We have the flexibility in difficult times, as we have huge rainy cash reserves. Besides, PNB itself has a big proprietary fund that has been growing since the past 30 years. PNB is a long term investor, and we are more interested in the cycles of the stock markets rather than the short term ups and downs. Nobody can know for sure, when is the peak and the bottom, but 30 years in the industry have taught us quite well. And of course we can't afford to do the same thing forever, and expect different results to materialise. We are not living in normal times, and PNB has been too conservative for far too long. Difficult times call for drastic measures. Something very interesting is coming soon, probably in the first quarter of 2016. mind sharing what is that

QUOTE(ohcipala @ Nov 15 2015, 01:42 PM) Who knows the new drastic measure is 5% sc for FP funds. wait, I think AS1M have tat provision. 1% SC However, the manager has the discretion either to waive or to reduce the sales charge. The sales charge is subject to GST. http://www.asnb.com.my/v3_/pdf/produk/AS1M...331PHS-AS1M.pdf (see page 5, FEES AND CHARGES) edit. hahaha ASB2 pun ada 1% SC http://www.asnb.com.my/v3_/pdf/produk/ASB2...629PHS_ASB2.pdf (page 5) Currently, the manager does not impose sales charge. However, the manager has the absolute discretion to impose sales charge of up to 1% of the invested amount. The sales charge is subject to GST This post has been edited by nexona88: Nov 15 2015, 01:57 PM
