Everyone can do that. Is just see whether can live without all the fancy stuff in life. But then again, maybe I better spend some money now and then on stuff which can last. RM is dropping like no tomorrow despite slight increase today. The money I am holding is decreasing in value. 

Already 3 days since I bought AS1M online thru M2u. No refund so far. Either my money is lost  or it went thru. 

Oh well, will update my passbook when I have the time.....

Yesterday, I undertake another adventure to CIMB in my quest to hunt for ASW units.
Met with the same friendly & helpful staff manning the ASNB counter.
First few attempts ended up no killing. Looks like a lot of treasure hunters still romping in the woods. Subsequent attacks baru accomplished some triumphs.

Interesting subject - FD vs ASNB. I missed that.

So, any conclusion has been made?

My FD allocation of the total assets has gone down from 25% to less than 5% now. And, I raised my AS1M/ASM/ASW from 8% to 22%. I started topping up ASNB from mid-August. I was lucky because most of my long terms FD matured in Aug and Sep, and happened that during these period many available units.

Obviously, I like ASNB more than FD.

Not to worry about FP to VP?

Bond stocks (12%), equities (less than 5%) and USD+EPF+Properties..

Unker dreamer would be so sad.

I remember I mentioned once when the dreamer invade our thread which negativity.

The bolded part is very very very important. Actually, be it the current or opposition. PNB will not fall.

One clue - work damn bloody hard for earning when you are young... and don't drive luxury car or staying in a big house.

Everyday, do whay you want to do, and no need to report to anybody (except your wife), is a damn good life. Do it!

She doesn't really know how much I have. Kidding... she has no interest in any money making matter, except consuming.

Planning is good, but, sometimes, it is changing based on everyday situation.

Such as, last year, I planed to move all the matured FD in Aug and Sep to USD trading account for ETF in NYSE. It happened that USD rate went to sky high, then,I have to alter the plan by moving these money into ASNB indeed.

When USD returns to a reasonable rate, I may consider move some fund from ASNB to USD for better opportunities mainly in ETF.  That is my long term plan.

I never take ASNB as a traditional trust. As I said, I am taking its political purpose advantage. That reason I like ASNB.

For some, they treat Asx fixed price funds as a temporary current account that pay high dividend. It allows one to temporary park their money there, worry free!!
When other better investment opportunities arise, the liquidity nature of the funds allows the spontaneous withdrawal which is good.

Hmm. That's my thinking too. No need big car, a simple Perodua car will do. But no work = bored

Just starting. Going to buy more while there is promotion and the most important thing is I can buy online.

I stopped going to counters a long time ago to try to hunt for units as I feel like a hungry unwanted dog asking for scraps. Made worst by being entertained by counter staff that can show you their why-you-add-more-work-for-me face.........

Why dont u buy the unit through online?
