that's because Matic's performance drop this year... compare to last season, Cesc lack of tracking back is not known because of Matic the tank... but once Matic's performance dropped, Cesc can't perform as well... sigh... Matic is not the same after his injury... last time, all of his challenges are near perfect... he is a dominant force in the middle of the park... now that Iva's performance also drop... this force Matic to cover more ground... hence the defense becomes average... our style of play always emphasize on defense first.... once the defense sort things out, the rest will follow... looking at current form, I dun think we'll get a place to play UCL next season... unless we win it like 2012.

yep. basically we lacking individual performance all over the pitch. only willian and begovic and maybe zouma is the only ones actually trying to make things work.

Matic was the tank that protected Fabregas and the back line with JT. thats why JT didnt need pace when he has good positioning and opponent has to get through Matic first. last season once Matic was out, our team was like shit. right now, it feels like as tho Matic isnt there.

yeah... but we see a glimpse of what RLC can do... maybe give Matic a few game rest... I'm sure like Oscar last time, he is either burned out or need time to rethink his game... the hunger is not there anymore once won a championship... bench them to know that they have competition is good... I'm sure Terry will come back stronger... I think now, Iva needs to be bench... only because he is vice captain, he is not bench... sigh...

talking about moving the ball faster, IMO, this is what makes Matic less effective this season. See how many times him being dispossessed this season compare to last season. for me, he is trying too hard to conjure something up when that is not really his task. i think among all the poor performers, Matic can improve faster. make the game simpler without sacrificing the forward pass. focus more on defending rather than attacking.

as for problem with fabregas, i think this is due to the overall slump in the form of other attackers in the team. with diego costa only looking to pick fights, oscar being 'nearly' ignored, and willian/pedro who often forgot to wear their shooting boots, it is an easy task to defend against us. stop the ball distributor, which is fabregas. last time hazard will usually have 2+1 defenders covering for him. now? 1+1 if you noticed it..

another aspect i wish the team to throw away is all the fancy moves inside penalty box. with our reputation, i dont think ref will award any penalties to us. just have a shot on goal. get the confidence back and the rest will follow.

yep, RLC has shown he is able to stand up to the task so far. He can be our Matic for the time being. Ramires and Mikel have their uses, but not for this kind of job.

this i agree as well. we seem to be trying to play some arsenal/barcelona type of short passing inside the opponent box. end up just keep losing the ball instead. i prefer a more direct attacking approach. maybe its the management pressuring Mourinho to play a more possession based game?

Matic is the person that responsible for tracking back in pivot, Mata was given a RW role, so yes he need to track back..just like Willian and Pedro this season.

plus, Mou was okay if he want to stay..but when the bid came, Mou personally ask the fella if he want to stay or leave..and he decided to leave us. Simple.

good thing about mou that not all managers have is he give freedom to players to decide their future
if the players want to leave, he will let them
that's why we don't see ex-players talk bad bout mou (except kdb)

Mata runs and track back a lot. Not physically gifted but still willing to try. Imo Mata is above Fab. And ranked just behind Silvw in BPL. dont talk about Ozil. The guy that never appear after wearing the red shirt maybe its the aura around him

kdb & lukaku mulut besar mou dun like, mata everybody loves him and still feel seeing him in good form atm, schurrle...i think mou is the only one who thinks he's 'not good enough'..

IMO I'm okay with kdb mata and lukaku leaving but I dont agree schurrle to leave.. I think schurrle fit us very well.. He is such an impact sub and he can be good in starting 11 too. He just need more game time..

Those mention are all good players, when offer came in they have been given the option to stay and fight for their place or leave. They choose to leave, is not like the club put them on transfer listed. PEDRO, FAB, COSTA are all good buy, u should have mention SALAH, CUADRADO instead. But being CHELSEA is not about save money, we aint ARSENAL, we comply with FFP and use the money to invest on the squad and challenge for trophy. Money well invested i say on FAB, COSTA as they help us win BPL. By winning trophy it also help the club grow on marketing side, i believe we would not have get the big money YOKOHAMA TYRE deal if we are not constantly winning trophy. A win win for management and fans i see.

i think is more got to do with JM tactic + player than management pressure. We dont commit much player into the box, so in the event we lose the ball we have plenty of player outside the box to recover the 2nd ball. But if we are going to cross the ball with only COSTA alone in the box then might as well we dont cross at all ? player like OSCAR, WILLIAM, HAZARD, PEDRO are all AM, WINGER they are not comfortable with challenging CB for headers so naturally they dont like to stay in the box. Even they are not comfortable, i think JM need to ask them to get inside, preferable we have 3 player across the goal so defender have hard time marking and stay in position. Even BARCA they have small player but they do cross a lot but is those low cross, we have to get man inside the box, just leave FAB and MATIC outside to retrieve the loose ball. I also think playing REMY as RW will help too, he is a striker so he will instinctively get into the box a lot more often to help COSTA.

Why we sign a gk actually?back up to bego or replace bego?if backup then its ok.
