My question, does renew roadtax on MYEG counts as government transaction?

i suppose no as myeg also offer other service than pay renew roadtax

but all other services also related to government..

the right question to ask is, what's the nature of business for MyEG? that's how MCC is assigned, right?

even if MyEG can pay restaurant bills (example), it's still goes back to MyEG's business nature.

My encounter with Sushi Zanmai @ 1Utama as MCC 5814, Fast Food.
But saw from page 1, it's Dining.

Perhaps they have changed.

when did you know zanmai under 5814?

I made a query on my cash back for March 1st statement.
Yesterday the CS called back and informed me Sushi Zanmai is under 'Fast Food' with MCC 5814, not 'Restaurant' for Dining.

in that case i would update the list since yours are latest information

If Kedai ABC is recognized as MCC XXXX by Bank W, this same MCC XXXX will be applied to all other banks Bank Z, Bank Y etc... too?

Yes

The MCC Code is set in the CC terminal which you use your CC to swipe at.
It's not based on the Merchant Name.

Any idea what MCC for Cosway, to be specific Cosway @ Tesco Pusat Bandar Puchong?
