Battlefield 2142 1.05 Patch

There is only an incremental patch available as of this moment. Below is the changelist.

ISSUE FIXES
- Ground Defence kills now count towards Ground Base Defence Ribbon
- Using the Medic Hub now counts towards Silver Medic Excellence Badge
- Silver Titan Destruction - Badge awarded when core is destroyed
- Debriefing End of Round screen displays player stats
- Enemy Squad Leader Spawn beacon is no longer visible on the 3dMap
- Can now bind same key to crouch for common and land vehicles
- User now unable to repeatedly spam a squad leader to join a locked squad
- Spinning tank turret no longer pushes player inside clipped geometry
- Users can play single-player (offline) mode when EA servers are unavailable
- Fixed issue that caused Battlerecorder Playback And Camera Control Interface function
- Corrected missile silo numbers in Titan Mode
- Squad Leader Spawn Beacon can now be used after a round or map change in online games
- Missing game information in Swedish and Danish when a mutiny occurs against your commander added
- Inconsistent game references removed
- BF2142 showing up as Battlefield 2 in Windows firewall exception list fixed
- Patching update message will shut the game down instead of minimize if EA Link is installed on users machine
- Stats tracking optimizations
- Revised AR's deviation per bullet
- Titan no longer moveable by the Commander once Titan shields are down
- Installer checks for BF2142 running in the background before installing patch
- Improved player collision protocol
- Optimized EA Master Server connection calls

I DL from the site and found it wont work, wat a crap i waste my time on this fileplanet, it sucks. better this site.

well, i d/l from fileplanet with no prob.
was the 2nd one to d/l

its only 22.3mb big anyway, and servers wont have it patched til later today...so no rush to d/l.

Yup - got the crash to desktop when the round ends - EA says to wait for new drivers from NVIDIA and ATI (in the news ticker).

ATI latest catalyst is 6.11 use gameshadow easy for ya dude..........

Our servers are not ready yet. Just save the patch on your computer and wait for us to upgrade before patching up.

Waiting for Ati/EA to release a patch for the CTD.
Anyone tried if Cat 6.11 will fix this cause im still using Cat 6.10

ya me also gatal tangan patched. CTD? this bad news haven't go in any server yet. I hope PAGN already patch their BF2 to 1.41, if not going to be boring day tonite.

hmmm...as we all nVIDIA users knew, the latest driver from nVIDIA really suxx.
Me using the NGO driver for my nVIDIA card.

Worried if the stability that I had now will be gone with the new driver

what about the dedicated server program for BF2142, does it patch that too or should I download an entirely new installer for that?

We don't have an ETA at this moment. We're waiting for DICE to send us details of the patch, so it could be anytime from today to a few days, depending on how responsive they are.

Bah, after the new patch I crash to desktop after a round, ALL THE TIME.

so basically if the titan is still moving when the shields go down, it will continue to move...
so evil commanders just can click move from one end of the map to another before the titan shield goes down...
stupid EA.

It doesn't scan your PC when you're not playing the game, it just checks on how you're viewing the ingame ads when you're playing, so its not spyware.

i never update my driver for a year already since i bought the 6600 and install the supplied driver but still lazy to play titan mode...

I'm using the latest Forceware 93.71 but i'm not playing Titan mode.

GameArena's Titan servers are now set to 1 round per-map so we will get no CTD

i'm downloaded the patch from Xfire program...auto patching...so far so good.....

Known Issues: The 1.05 patch has introduced at least one major known issue at the moment - a crash to desktop (CTD) at the end of Titan mode rounds. This appears to be due to some sort of conflict with the Titan mode fix included in the first patch. One solution for this issue is to uninstall the game completely, manually delete all the game folders, including the main \Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142 and \Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Battlefield 2142 directories, then reinstall the game again and only install the 1.05 Patch - do not install the 1.01 Patch as well. If this doesn't work, then you will have to wait for EA to issue a new patch/hotfix. The other known issues (and possible fixes) from the patch are listed here.

well.. i have no problem with this patch eventhough i download it at it first release.

The patch seems to have decreased the video performance of 2142 on my rig I'm at the lowest setting and it still graphics lags
