is it true that the proton iriz 1.6 manual is no longer in production? that is what i was told yesterday by the salesman.

I collected my Iriz today, noticed few things below which i am not sure if these are defects

1. Headlamp cannot turn on without starting up engine?
2. Just now first ride, i feel some weird smell which i dont know how to describe. Something like steel. Anyone experience this before?

i am thinking of buying a car to replace my aging birdie, the car that i had in mind is Iriz 1.6 mt and Myvi 1.5 mt

6. Test your top speed. I heard 1.6 CVT has reduced top speed after the jerk update. 1.3 so far heard no issue. Probably because your car came factory updated.
i thought only different in bodykit for 1.6 is just the spoiler?
He needs to borrow someone's car as there is no 1.6 mt test drive cars. Only theres 1.3 MT and 1.6 CVT.

Just got my car! Happy with it overall.

1. No rattling sound at dashboard. Got minor sound at the back door but just awhile (around 5 sec) then doesn't happen again. Will monitor again tmr.
2. Engine n exhaust sound not as noisy as what I expect from this forum. A lot better than my previous Saga FLX.
3. Push start button no problem. Start in 1 sec.
4. No volume fluctuation.
5. Touch screen responsive, no problem.

Hi Iriz FanClub,

I just bought an Iriz 1.6 MT Premium (Black)!  First time buying a car so very Excited!!

I like it very much and need some advice on the following from all the Sifu..

1. How do we know the Iriz we purchased come with 7 Yrs Warrantee?
My SA told me it come with 7 Yrs Warrantee and only able to give me a sales memo showing October Promo has 7 Yrs Warrantee.  I do not have any offical document and the manual only shows 5 yrs.

2. Are we suppose to get some kind of Insurance Documents with the car on delivery?  My SA says it will be in the POS but I am yet to receive anything and its has been more than a week now.

By the way, I did the following for my new Iriz and it is great.
1. Change the stock tyre to Michelin PS3.
2. Windows laminated with 3M Auto Flim.

So far the car is running well but have a few issues:
1. Slight rattles on the dash board but it does not happen consistently.
2. Change gear to Reverse can be noisy (some weird metal noise).
3. Reverse camera can be flickering sometimes.
4. The head rest at rear seats has faulty release button.  Cannot be depressed to move it up and down.
5. Rear seat-belt not buckled warning come on even though no one is sitting at the back.

I am looking for a good place to get a fitting 3M floor mats.  I am in Sri Petaling area. Any suggestion?

I noticed the flickering while I am in an in door car park.  However, it does not happen all the time, that is the frustrating part! How to show and complaint to SC?

i drive my baby iriz for almost 4months,
what i realized is, it is so hard to see when it is raining, the wiper does not helping at all..the vision becomes so blur

second is,
i normally use smartag, but one day i need to use touch n go and when i open my window and close it back, the mirror from both sides becomes foggy (because it is cold inside and hot outside)...its block my view to see the side mirrors.
i try to turn on the "hot air button" (idk the name, lol) but it didnt work.

have yoy guys know the solution? especially on the foggy mirror part?

- 2 weeks driving for about 340km.
- city driving for 90% of the time. maybe 10% of LDP only.
