QUOTE(adijb @ Oct 12 2015, 08:09 PM) Happen to my 1.6 about 2 months ago. Was at pasar tani parking while waiting for my mom and wifey. Wind down all the windows and switch off the engine. When everyone was ready and wanted to go back home, started the engine, wind up both front windows, success. Next, wind up both rear windows but both stop about half way up. After this, all 4 windows is not responding. Omg.....means i will be charged for this?.......not fair i think, not even 1 week of receiving my car....... Sent to the sc the week after for 2nd service and to check on this problen. Forgot what the sc said, something like relay or fuse problem with the left rear window that short the whole power window system. They replaced the faulty part but it is not covered under warranty and i had to pay for it. Again don't remember how much but it was less then rm40. Had to go back to sc the week after for them to do a thorough check of the wiring as they were worried that it could happen again. Was told i cannot use the left rear window until further checks or else it could happen again. Went to sc again and it took them about an hour to identify and rectify it. So far no issue with the windows since. By the way, if both rear windows are wind down about half way as per what happened to mine, driving at about 70km/h and above will cause the air coming into the car via both rear windows to make noises that is quite painful to me ears.. ouch.. Tomorrow will know what happened to my car. |

QUOTE(adijb @ Oct 13 2015, 07:13 PM) Do share the outcome. It could be different than mine. You should be able to argue that the car is still new. Mine was already about 6 months old when it happened Went to service centre to rectify my power window problem today. .......seems like the power window buttons panel was not fully inserted into the socket causing a short result the fuse located at the fuse panel at the engine bay to burn........just replace the fuse settled it, foc.Inquire about adding some part for my standard iriz to be installed at the service centre........spotlights and boot light not advice to install, saying warranty void.........as about handgrip for rear passenger, said will not installed as it might damage the interior if they install and advice me to buy from them but go outside to install.........trunk scuff plate cover they can install, asked them to install but no stock so order from them and install on later date. QUOTE(yadea @ Nov 1 2015, 09:20 PM) Actually no sarcasm was involved... lol Thanks a million for this info.......will do more reading on this.....There are various types of OBD. Some have like a controller, some just Bluetooth, some need to connect to pc. I am using a Bluetooth one. Just connect it to the OBD port which is located below the steering at the foot area. You have to bend down to actually see it. I believe it looks like a white colour thing with 2 rows of holes for the pins to enter. Basically it connects to the cars ECU to get various readings, radiator temperature, speed, CO2 emissions, 0-100, 1/4 mile, engine RPM, etc. I use mine to record 0-100, 80-120, 1/4 mile, engine coolant temperature, horse power at the wheels, speed, torque and engine load. First 3 readings are normally high because I have never tried doing either. Just normal drive. Basically you can get readings based on what the OBD can capture and what your ECU can report. BTW data is immediately transferred to my phone using the app called Torque Pro. Oh yah, almost forgot to mention, it can actually get the error/fault codes if your check engine light is on and can clear fault codes. Actually, I'm quite young. See my reply to the comment above. How it looks like? Mine looks similar to this: ![]() plug and play: yeap. cost: I shipped it from China. Price in RM i believe was around 30. There is a club member selling one that can provide readings to the display. Maybe you can check his one out. See signatures for someone selling OBD. what can this device show: mentioned a few in the reply above. BTW if you look at the foot area at the drivers side, you probably should be able to see the port. Looks something like this(note that this is not an Iriz. Pic just taken from internet for reference) ![]() |

QUOTE(SirNewbee @ Nov 2 2015, 10:07 PM) Do you know why? yadea Think we shouldn't removed this as this will protect the underside of our car from rust, scratch, damage from stone also this will act as sound proofing too.....just my 2cents, correct me if I'm wrongI also was curious. Didn't know they apply tar on car for undercoat So I googled and got this: "Tar-based spray. The tar-based method is also known as undercoating. It involves spraying a black, tar-like substance on the floor pans, wheel wells, and other exposed parts of the underbody of your car, which then hardens and acts as a permanent shield against moisture, salt, and other elements. This will not protect the whole body of your car though, and it cannot stop corrosion if it has already started, which means it is best applied to brand new vehicles. The major risk to tar-based solutions is that if not applied properly, cracks may develop in the hardened coating over time and trap moisture within itself, leading to rust. Ziebart is one of the largest providers of this method of rust protection and charges approximately $150 per vehicle." http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-drive...rticle19839668/ |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Nov 23 2015, 06:07 PM) before we proceed to explore on the possibilities, are you still on iriz stock silverstone m3 tires? if yes, just change them. they are shit. yup......the stock tires are really bad when driving in the rain, even for me an old man driving old man style.........what ever ESP/abs means nothing if your tires are unable to maintain proper grip to the surface. that, in the future try to keep a better distance from the car in front, and of course try to anticipate at least 2-3 cars ahead when possible. off topic........quazacolt.......you also here |
