Since they just released iPad Pro, will they again release the iPad Air 3 this year?

Don't think so, they want to focus with ipad pro and ipad mini 4 marketing for now.

ipad air 2 already fast damn good. no need to jump for pro with no 3d touch function. price also matter huge diff

Good question, with the now key differences between the iPad Mini, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro and the freakin huge iPad Pro, Apple hasn't really defined the direction they are going to segregate the models. Will it still be by screen size or by a moniker whether it is Air or Pro.

They will probably still continue producing the iPad Air 2 and keep that as the budget option whilst maintaining the iPad Mini 4. Doesn't make sense to redesign or upgrade it again this year especially since Apple has had two appalling quarters.

From what i can see they are slowly moving iPad up of the chain that it used to be ^^ Perhaps, they are aiming iPad Pro to be a contester on Microsoft Surface, as in capable of be a laptop

Today's rumourmill says that they expect Apple to launch a 10.5" iPad next year and a special iPad with OLED in 2018.

Now i am nt sure what direction they are heading to >.<
