hi guys, this is my first time buying from taobao and i used DEX sea freight to consolidate my 4 items.
upon paying for my consolidation fee, the warehouse quote me the price for 3kg shipment.
but now when i check my tracking details(my items now on transit), i noticed the individual item weight were much lighter than what i was quoted(which is more reasonable), which bring the total weight to just about 1.4kg.
would like to ask is it normal for Consolidation warehouse to inflate the actual weight like this?

ABX express really is a shitty courier company. dex did a good job sending my item by air to malaysia in time, but abx fxxked it up by holding it in their warehouse forever. their hotline wont answer your call at all.i have to pick up the item myself, and at their bangi office i noticed they just ignore their incoming phone call
so for those planning to use DEX-i, please avoid them until they stop using ABX

im now waiting for my another taobao purchase to arrive. im using cainiao sea freight and apparently my item can be track by using Dex-i tracking service.
so does this means cainiao sea freight = Dex-i?

ok i ordered:
1 item from taobao on 2/1/19 using official air shipping. 3/1/19 arrived at warehouse, 4/1/19 shipped internationally. till now still stuck at custom
1 item from shoppe china seller on 3/1/19. item arrive safely today.
conclusion:
shopee win. both item <1kg. shopee only charge shipping rm5 for most less 5kg item and so far all my order its seems like they r using air shipping.
if u can find ur item in shopee, better buy from there. price not mucy different from taobao too

Its been a long time since i last ordered stuff from taobao.i was suprised that there r now a compulsory 6% tax of total purchase amount for sea shipping. Now sea shipping is not the cheapest option anymore
Is there any 3rd party forwarder that offers sea shipping?can help recommend some?
Do they charge 6% tax too or only taobao official sea shipping has this rule?
Is the 6% tax also applicable to offical air shipping?

http://www.prouter.cn/index/indexprouter was an ex-offical 3rd party shipper for taobao before. their english site quite decent, but i think the shipping fee is on the higher side
