hi all, i'm looking to buy an used server case, less than 1k rmb but it's quite bulky and heavy 30kg+/-. it will be shippied via sea. will it be held by custom? if yes, taoba direct shipping will help on this or we have to deal with it ourselves? or should i buy it thru forwarder and perchaps they can help? thanks.

yea. on the shipping option, you can click on 海运 > 查看运费规则 to check the fees.

they can ship up to 500 kg and 500 cm for the sum of package dimensions (yours is 55+60+60=175)

i shipped a server chassis back in may, 90x60x20 cm, 30 kg. the shipping cost was rmb 392, and it took 20 days to arrive.

is there any local site to track parcels with numbers starting with YTXXXX? taobao tracking stops updating once they arrive here.

for the record, tracking number on website remain unchanged YTXXXX but in the app updated to CNMYAXXX and can be tracked with KEX Express.

maybe the seller just isn’t sure how taobao direct shipping works. they only have to send it to a local warehouse, and taobao takes care of the rest. maybe they’ve tried it before but, for whatever reason, don’t want to deal with it again. probably never bothered since then, so they just refuse. either way, easier to just go with another seller.
